Someone wrote in a comment I read a few years ago that Thailand remakes dramas a lot because getting new scripts…
First I thought that both GMMTV and Channel3 got permission to remake the same drama, so they both produced them with a little bit time span. But with your info it makes sense now. That's what I've been wondering about Sawan Biang, cos Thai usually remakes their dramas every 10 years or so, lol.

Oh really??? This is very interesting indeed! I mean, I know every country has its own government censorship agency for its entertainment viewing, but I didn't know Thai is quite strict. I thought only China's NRTA is hard to please, lol.
Thanks for this article got some new recommendations. Ps. I had dropped Go ahead but will complete it this time
Go Ahead is a slice-of-life drama, so if you don't like that genre you may find it boring. If you want a drama with suspense or action, this is not it. Just like you watching growth of a bunch of people along the way, mainly the kids. But their acting is great. You don't need to like what other people like, it's all to personal preference. It can change, too. What you like now may change in several years ahead, for example.
I have read ceki’s 2015’s articles. The worst thing was that On YouTube there was a video of A thai lakorn…
Well, lakorn itself has changed a bit along the way, though Thai still produces Slap and Kiss subgenre lakorns but not too crazy anymore. For example, they never remake the most notorious Sawan Biang, as Thai usually remake their popular dramas. Their lakorn usually for local consumption, so they cater whatever Thai people still like thru their viewer rating. My favorite Cdrama? Wow I cannot pinpoint one. You are welcome to check my list tho it's general not for a certain country: https://mydramalist.com/list/Y4a7Mx5L
I got to know about MDL since 2020. But at that time I was busy with My school projects so couldn’t open an…
Lol... I was surprised you commented on my first article. This is my first to write, though the recap on Cross Fire is the first one to be published. My articles have evolved quite far after this one. You should write your experience in dramaland, too ;D.
Well, I don't watch this drama or death games dramas, only Imawa no Kuni no Alice. This comment is only for the article: In-depth yet simple language. Clear categorization with spacing that breaks into smaller easy-to-read section. Engaging with sharp pictures. It's well-written as your first review/article, so congrats!
I've watched it 5-4 days ago.. It was so-so yet it had a sprinkle of heart-warming moments..The cartoonish aspect…
I think they did the cartoon thing to pass the NRTA censorship, for example the scenes where the gang beating people up. They're either changed to cartoon (Jin Jie's case) or completely edited (Zhi Liao's bro case).
So the subgenre is called urban fantasy? Lol, I don't even know it. I watched all you mentioned but one, so I guessed I love it. Congrats to your first article!
I finished Definitely Not Today this afternoon and I quite like it! I almost cried for some scenes and I laughed…
It's okay, we figured it out. Did you watch it raw? I wanted to watch it because it was recommended by AvenueX in the past, unfortunately I can't understand Mandarin. Even if I do, probably the Chongqing dialect will be hard to understand.
Your article is so well written and presented :) Just finished watching Do you like Brahms? And I really liked…
I agree with you waiting until it's finished. Not only because cannot wait for new episode cliffhanger, but also since you just finished watching Kim Min Jae in a drama so you still remember his character there. Usually if I want to watch the next drama with the same actor/actress I'll wait and watch others until I kinda forget about the character.
She was in Romance is a Bonus Book? I watched that drama, I liked it tho the mystery part is kinda off and it…
OMG... I remember those new hire characters that are also newbies alongwith the FL. But I totally don't remember the actress... it's probably her hairstyle and character is different.
