When we were writing this article I actually did a bit research on Douyin. In my knowledge, though both Douyin and Tiktok were created by the same company but Douyin is only accessible in China and Tiktok is international. Probably that is how you got the safety accessing message, they want you to put in a Chinese registered phone number which you don't have. However if you are able to get some materials on Yu Ning in Tiktok that would be great. You can get up-to-date materials of him in Weibo as well, by putting 刘宇宁 in search. His fans are more active than him and they would post any update on him by following him everywhere, lol. In fact, there is more info on him by searching his fans accounts both in Weibo and Youtube than his official account ;D.

We didn't search for his Douyin as we thought it should use a Chinese registered phone number to login or sign up. But probably she looks for that account to live chat as you can't do that on Weibo, right?

Not many people watched Ultimate Note cos it's not a romance drama and it's a part of daomubiji series that make people hesitate to watch as a stand alone. Besides, he wore black shades the whole time there so people might not recognize him. It was funny when I watched UN in Youtube, a commenter actually asked: "I wonder how Hei Yan Jing actually looks like without the sunglasses?" Others commented: "dooh... look at the actor!" lmao. I personally like his character as He Yan Jing better than Hao Du, so funny and quirky. Now I knew he was just being himself ;D
I didn't notice him 'til he kind of stole scenes wholesale (imo) in Ultimate Note (so, pretty recently). Then…
I noticed him in UN too. I actually am not a daomubiji fan so I don't watch the other dramas of the series. I watched UN initially for Joseph Zheng. In it I was also attracted to Xiao Yu Liang. But acting wise, I think Yu Ning's acting is the best, having to wear dark shades the whole time. Even then I didn't recognize him sang the ending song. UN sequel? If any I doubt it with have the same cast, knowing the other dramas in the series changed cast every time. That's why I am so happy in Heroes Yu Ning reunited with Joseph Zheng ;D

It was interesting when the currently airing drama Ancient Love Poetry came out our article was just about to finish. We saw his announcement in Weibo and we were like "really?"... another OST of him? It's interesting that Zhou Shen and Mao Bu Yi also sang OSTs in ALP and Yu Ning sang an insert song. When netizen complained about the drama, they said the OSTs are way better, lol.
