Probably because I watched too many Chinese youth/school romance in the past that I got tired from Chinese censorship for the romance part (no kiss if the actors are under 18 or school setting). This drama actually has a BTS scene with another kissing scene besides at the cinema, but I don't know the link only read it in the page comment. Either it was cut thru editing or censor. Not too long ago I watched a Kdrama where the leads have passionate kisses and sleep together, and I was like... what??? they did that??? lol... too long used to conservative Cdramas already.

It's quite common for Chinese, Japanese, and Thai have common looking posters. I think only Korean dramas are marketed very well, including posters, trailers, etc. That's why I chose another picture for my article cover instead of the drama cover ;D

You mean the ones on the drama page photos? Yeah I think some posters are cheesy, lol. Probably because the leads are not top actors, so Tencent didn't do much promo to make it more popular.

Yeah, if you don't watch Cdramas often, you will not find this drama. If you are looking for good Cdramas, I will suggest the Youtube vlogger whom I put the link in my article. She reviews drama well.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I agree with you. That's why Zheng Han attitude being directly serious (you will see the first they get together, first IOU agreement for laptop, second IOU agreement for rented house) is quite new info for me having watched tons of Chinese romance/romcom dramas. This drama is the first time I see an ML being straigthforward that I have to search about the dating/love situation in China, lol.

I agree with you. Wang An Yu is in the just finished drama Go Go Squid 2: Dt Appledog, but most likely I want to see him in Chasing the Light. For Xiang Han Zhi, though she may be gone to acting college first (she is only 18), but I want to see her upcoming drama Our Times with Leo Wu and Neo Hu.

Yunnan is a beautiful province in China with gorgeous scenery. Xishuangbanna is the shooting location of one of my favorite Cdrama Let Me Understand Your Language. Just for the freaking stunning location only, I will check this drama out when it's fully subbed! Hopefully the story doesn't disappoint. Thanks for sharing!

I have a tip how to like Xianxia dramas, cos it's a hit-and-miss. Unlike wuxia, you'll admire the martial arts action cos China has great real martial arts directors that make the fighting scenes superb. But xianxia heavily relies on visual effect techniques due to the supernatural theme. If the production team doesn't do it right, doesn't matter the story or acting is good, the rating will be pulled down by bad CGI etc. If you want to like xianxia, you have to like the story, cast, or everything else. Then if the great visual effect also support the story, the drama will easily be a 10 rating ;D

Yeah, that part is SO funny! And the rest of her family thought that he was going to propose marriage. That was the scene where the Mom was creeped out, lol! No, I think it's not to get FL into the same college as him. Her grade didn't make it that high, so Mom wants to send her abroad. He wants her to stay in China and in the same city where he goes to college. Gosh, I wished I knew before I started that drama I would have prepared to write a recap article about it, lol. But it took me off guard. Everything in that drama is so good. Her helping him to overcome his social anxiety disorder, romance, chemistry, friendship between the four, her family (especially little brother), second couple (usually I don't like second couples), the filming location in beautiful Guilin, and their family being supportive with their relationship.

I love Meeting You! The FL is so likable, can't believe the actress was able to memorize thousands of lines, her character being a chatterbox. But do you think it's a bit unhealthy, he's kinda possessive though. That's my only complain about that drama. I think she being his only 'life line', lol. He rented her a house to be 'her home'. I can understand her mom's getting creeped out, lol. If I'm the mom I will feel the same thing. Being only college students but he's already sure he will spend his life with her. I love her mom though!

Yeah I think this is a 'complete' romantic drama, from high school to being entrepreneurs. It's very satisfying like watching some people's life journey. Not many dramas like this, usually from high school to college, or high school time jump to working life, college to working life. I will comment about Meeting You in a spoiler cos probably not many people have watched it either.
