a very unique chinese style in relationship....NO SEX until they got married. Im surprise despite having a boyfriend…
Just for clarification: the drama doesn't show no sex/abstain until they got married. While writing this article I did a bit research on the sex component in dating in China. Sex is considered a serious matter comparing to Western practice. There are two things that I found: 1. In general, many Chinese men say they would prefer to marry a woman who hasn’t had premarital sex 2. In cosmo cities many Chinese women see sex as a sign that a relationship is headed towards marriage. If you have watched this drama, you noticed that the GIF I made is limited, due to the technical restriction for how many Mbps to upload in the article. In the real scene, he said something I didn't put in GIF. Though she actually doesn't refuse but he can tell from her facial expression that she is not ready, so he doesn't proceed further. The point is: respect your partner in sex matter ;D
I didn't... cos it definitely will need another GIF put in this article... I don't want to make this article too heavy with GIFs that people may have hard time to read or comment. But I agree that one is super sweet scene ;D Yeah, creating GIFs is an art by itself... I enjoy making them!
Nice article!"If a healthy relationship sounds so amazing, why do people enter and stay in an unhealthy relationships?"Actually…
That what is called as "playing with fire" lol! I have seen the romanticized unhealthy relationship in dramas, for example using some components I listed: - intensity: "I know you're not ready... but I'm sooo in love with you I can't help it!" lol - possessiveness: not sure if there is anything romantic with the term "you are mine" - manipulation: one drama comes into my mind though I haven't watched it yet: Well Intended Love season 1... tricking someone to be with you, is it really 'well' intended?
As you said about staying in healthy relationship... hopefully it's not too late! Sadly, in real life that can be the fact. Just for your info: the healthy versus unhealthy components I use in this article actually comes from a non-profit organization that was founded by a mom whose daughter was murdered by her boyfriend, They were in unhealthy relationship. The organization now teaches young people on the signs of an unhealthy relationship and how to have healthy love.
Savior for all Forever Love fans? LMAO!!! Let me tell you, if you're very impressed on a drama, that only comments…
Sorry if I may sound pushy to you. Looking back at my own experience, I regret now that I didn't discover my passion for writing recap article sooner. I had so many dramas in the past that I would've love to write a recap article, but at that time what I did only was flooding the Feed sections with screenshots, lol. Since I experienced having English as second language, I can tell your comments are very well written. Let me know if you need help with your first article ;D
Wow it's so interesting. I just watched it recently and really loved it specially the main couple it was the best…
Just to add your comment on first question for #1: "Not actually knowing what healthy relationship is." I 100% agree with this opinion, as many times people see examples of [unhealthy] relationship from the family so when the time comes they enter into [unhealthy] relationship they think that's the normal one. This is sad cos it creates a vicious cycle of abuse, people who have abusive parental figure most likely enter an abusive relationship themselves in the cycle continues. So in the drama, I'm actually quite surprise that Lin Xi doesn't see the negative example from Mom that she may repeat it into her own relationship. Her parents marital relationship is considered unhealthy IMHO, since Mom belittles Dad of not making enough money 'playing' with rocks that causes Dad to disappear often. In contrary, I think Zheng Han gets positive influence from his parents. Although relationship with them is not shown much, but from how he helps the ex factory workers is enough for me to say that his parents maintain healthy relationship in every aspect.

No you're not being chatterbox... the fact that people gave hearts to your comment that means they love your opinion ;D. I appreciate everything that you wrote above. I intended this article to be read with thought in mind, despite the readers express their thoughts in written or not. Now I want to add another comment but need it to be put in spoiler as it's drama-related.
Savior for all Forever Love fans? LMAO!!! Let me tell you, if you're very impressed on a drama, that only comments…
I think you misunderstand my comment thinking I was offended... no, not at all... ;D. Let me tell you a secret: actually English is not my native language... I happen to land in a place that use English as daily conversation that I have to adapt to it, lol. While writing articles I still look up English grammar online: choice of synonym words, plural vs singular, tenses, etc. I think I learn better English by writing articles! Your written English is perfectly fine as I see through your comments. Writing drama recaps is way simpler that this article cos you just need to give intro on the drama, a bit story, character info, some features you want readers to know (cinematography, OST, etc). Then plug in a bunch of pics. We have wonderful editors in MDL who check your article including English grammar. If you're interested you can check out my drama recaps in my home profile, written with simple format and language. Only The Journey Across the Night and Psych Hunter are written by WandereR whom I think writes way better than I do and he's not a native English either ;D
Very interesting article, thank you for the good read :) Their relationship really did make this drama stand out…
That is one of my favorite scene too but I can't make a gif of it for the article or readers who haven't watched it will know who the second guy is... ;D. Yeah, the relationship between ML-FL compares to the relationship between SML-FL is back to the healthy versus unhealthy. The relationship between second lead and FL is more like superior-inferior relationship, a big brother and a little sister. Probably because the family know each other and their relationship started from the childhood, it's a given he has to protect her as their parents told them. In contrast, the relationship between ML-FL is based on Equality, which is one component of healthy relationship, that starts from when he lets her in to his 'secret lair', lol. With him, she doesn't maintain her class monitor towards delinquent classmate attitude in which is like superior-inferior relationship. In fact, she opens to him telling about who she actually is in contrast from what her parents and her classmate see who she is. That's why ML is confident telling off the second lead that he doesn't know anything about FL, lol

I will reply your comment in 2 section, cos one is drama related so it's a spoiler for people who haven't read it yet. Yeah, that's why I avoid watching school romance Cdramas unless for the cast. When I was writing this article I actually did a bit of research on romance/dating in China and I found out that dating in high school is publicly discouraged. That's why Chinese high school romance is only flirting and unrequited love, which both are painful to watch, lol.
You've written so well!Completely agree with whatever you said in this article honestly the relationship in this…
You're welcome. I agree with you that jealousy and misunderstanding are not necessary to make a great drama. Jealousy and misunderstanding are so overused that we romantic drama watcher got tired of it ;D
Awwww!!! You are a saviour for all forever love fans who don't know how to put their admiration for drama in words.…
Savior for all Forever Love fans? LMAO!!! Let me tell you, if you're very impressed on a drama, that only comments and writing reviews about it is not enough, why don't you write a drama recap article about it? At least for me started writing articles because of my love of a drama that expressing in words only (comments and review) was not enough ;D
Excellent drama. One of the best youth Cdramas I've seen. BTW if you read the tabloids, these 2 are in a dating…
Really??? Well, I don't read [Chinese] tabloids since I don't understand Chinese neither actually am interested on the outside world of any Asian entertainment, and I don't want to ship any drama couple, period. Got a bad experience with shipping a Korean drama couple in the past ;D... But yeah, if they're really dating... I give them my heart <3
YAS! Totally think that we should have a "healthy relationship" tag on MDL to keep us on track with all the good…
hmm... that's interesting and your comment got me to search for that tag in the Advanced Search option. Unfortunately like you said, there is no such tag like that. There are 'unhealthy relationship' and 'toxic relationship' though. Perhaps you can try adding it in the Forever Love drama tag if you want and wait for the approval staff to approve it. Give reason that there are 'unhealthy relationship' and 'toxic relationship' tags, so why not 'healthy relationship' tag. Try adding it! ;D
