FSM plot is BORING, I dropped it after several episodes, despite everyone and everything is being pretty and the leading actor and actress are more popular than the ones here. Plot wise this one is intriguing and nobody knows what will happen next (unless you read the novel I guess). The leads are witty and calculating, and the main villains are not stupid either, so far.

This drama's theme is about female independence and being yourself (as a female). As much as a manipulative mother, Jiang Ruo Yao said that nobody knew who she really was. I think Jiang Li is waking up Ruo Yao's identity as an individual, so far she only attached her identity as her mother's daughter or Zhou Yan Bang's fiancee. She finally speaks the truth about the incident although her mom told her to frame Jiang Li.

At first I hate her, too. I thought her role only served as a bitchy villain, one of the many mean girls in this drama. But in the latest episode got me thinking that probably the screenwriter (I don't read the novel) wrote a redemption plot for her.
