Probably because Hyun has amnesia so he doesn't remember anything. He even doesn't remember he is the king, the eunuch had to give him crash course on palace ethics. So Ak Hee needs to wake up to save the kingdom cos he is not amnesiac.

Even though Hyun doesn't remember Yeon Wol, he's still attracted to her and even made a clothing set for her. But Yeon Wol doesn't want to reveal her identity as his lover. Before she leaves Hyun, she hugs him to wake up Ak Hee. She then goes back to the other prince saying she doesn't want to marry him cos he doesn't cure Hyun (he woke up but has amnesia). Hyun then saves her from that prince and brings her back, tho he still doesn't remember her. The episode ends with Ak Hee waking up and calling Yeon Wol Kyera.
