XL must have seen what Jing could do before Hou crippled him. We the audience would have loved to hear Jing play and sing. Points must also be given to Jing for the extra effort he has to put in because of his weak physical and spiritual power after Hou crippled him. Also, imagine Jing being in constant pain because of that bad knee. 😢 Oh man, I get so mad with Hou when I think about it.
Overall, the drama did great injustice to such wonderful and multi-faceted characters. Yes indeed, Jing and XL have been reduced to nothing but petty love rivals. SIGHS
