I'm on ep 9 and currently having 2nd lead syndrome. I am feeling more love and adoration from the 2nd male lead…
In their first lives, ML and the princess had a bad relationship. Coming into their 2nd lives, there is still lots of baggage to clear. Princess also has her own trust issues to work through.
Whereas in the first life, SML and princess had a good relationship compared to what was happening between the ML and princess, so coming into the 2nd life, she still feels for Su Rong Qing. I guess 17 years of a happy relationship can be hard to put down.
Hi ChunTian, good to see you at TPR page…but definitely not a good place to comment too much there;)
Love delicious "villains" like SQR and SYR. So wrong but so tragic, one would wish them a better end. Yes, Liang Yong Qi portrayed Shen YuRong well. Looking forward to see him in Perfect Match. Chen HeYi aka Su Rong Qing will be in it too. Looks like all the sad SML are in this. Hahahha...🤪 Perfect Match a more lighthearted drama, hopefully our poor SMLs get better endings this time.
And last but not least...drum roll...Duke Su aka Wang Xing Yue is in Perfect Match too! Yayyyyy....Maybe we will get to view his manly arms again? 💪💪 😀And Liang Yong Qi has nice pecs on his chest too in those scenes he is partly shirtless with the princess. 😍😍
Btw, did you realise our TTEOTM Jing Mie was in TD too? He has a 6 pack! I was blown away. 😍😍🤤🤤
Hi ChunTian, good to see you at TPR page…but definitely not a good place to comment too much there;)
I first melted over WXY in Kunning Palace. Solid acting for such a young lad. He looks so good in red too.😍😍 Loved him as Duke Su, so manly, lean muscles...ChunTian wants a hug from those arms...🤤🤤 HAHAHAHAHA...ok ok..moving on...
I felt sorry for Shen Yurong character. What he got in the end was his karma, but it was so tragic because he loved her right till the end. In his delulu mind, he did not understand why he was dead in her heart. This character was also being controlled by his family (mother) and the princess. Sighs...what a life. His mum decides to get rid of his wife for him without consulting him.
The way his end was portrayed, was beautiful. He cried bitterly, played their song on his flute and threw himself off the city wall, his body falling behind JL as she walks away from him, forever. Wooooow....heart felt pain for him because they were such a happy couple before. Wu Jin Yan was not supposed to cry in that scene. In the interview it was revealed she could not stop her tears from flowing when filming that scene. She said it was such a pity with Shen Yurong. Her heart also went out to this character. 🥲
I sympathise with the SRQ character. The scene where he proposed to the princess because Pei is assumed dead, he told her he had always loved her, but could not show it because he is of the Su family and she is of the royal family, now that this opportunity has come up, he did not want to miss it and miss the chance to be with princess. He just wanted to live for himself this once. My heart felt so painful for him, like poor thing, what a hard life to be the 2nd son of the Su family. Eligible, handsome bachelor, but so much restriction in his life. After that when his brother noted he was so aggressive with sword practice and that he must be badly heartbroken, he said "Today I lived for myself once." Arghhh...so sad. 😢How to dislike SRQ? HOW? lol
Did you read the spoilers on who was the person who actually gave the kill order for the princess and Pei in their first life? I was surprised that it was that person!
Hi ChunTian, good to see you at TPR page…but definitely not a good place to comment too much there;)
Yeah. What do you think of TPR so far?
The more I watch the more annoyed I am getting with the princess. The issue with SRQ can be easily resolved if she just told him she wants to be with Pei in this lifetime and not him She is stringing SRQ along and I do not like it. She comes across power hungry in the name of limiting the nobles power. I am guessing SRQ may not get a good end in his 2nd life as well. Feel bad for him as he is also trying to live for himself in this life.
Did you know that the actor for SRQ is the actor for the Water Deity in the Dream Arc of TTEOTM? 😉Not a bad looking guy. Some of the folks in the TPR page think he has an angel's face. LOL
most viewer didn't hate fl. they are more like disgusting.
"If I were ML (I would have never waited 20 years for a cheater in first place), I would have stayed as far way from FL as possible even if I have to become bandit/thug/ musician for it and if I had no choice, I would found nearest pond/well/mountain and end it all !"
Loved this statement. Both hilarious but oh so true. 🤣😂🤪😅🥲
But in Pei's case, if all he wanted was power, this would not deter him. Back then, most royal / noble marriages were about alliances and power. So should be "normal" that both the man and the woman had their own harem, only thing is that the ladies have to be more discreet but the men can bring in concubines.
LR has never been taught love. Instead she was brought up to only know to guard her heart and love is equivalent…
It was sad for all of them. I hope everyone gets their happy ending this round, even SRQ. He did love the princess whose heart was never really his anyways. He also deserves someone who loves him back 100%.
But I get the feeling, SRQ might not get his happy ever after based on how the story is unfolding. Let's see how the episodes go. I just completed EP 20.

Kids growing up in the palace or noble families probably don't have much of a childhood. One quickly learns how to be scheming to survive. Sad.
Dang, merchant family it is for me then. LOL 🤪😂

What are your thoughts?
And LYF S2 is dropping on Monday! WOOT!
Looks good in both modern and period dramas. 😍
Took a peek at his modern role in "You Are Desire". They threw a pair of glasses on him and he looks FINE. https://mydramalist.com/photos/4e5V0w_3
And here he is in Warm on a Cold Night.

LYF S2 is coming! 8 July. I will be catching it! Weiwei is in it . 😍🫰🦊
Anyways, just come back here to comment, our home, MoonBase. LOL
I think there are a few Moonies watching TPR as well.
He has a new drama coming up. Fangs of Fortune. Let's watch it together when it comes out.
Water Deity was a tiny role for CHY in TTEOTM. Not surprising to overlook him then as all eyes were on LYX and BL.

Hmmm...Some SMLs are yummy too. ALL in please. 🤪😍😀😂🤣
Will you be catching LYF S2 too?
