1) Either lead has a recent break up/divorce/failed wedding or marriage/cheated on/etc. Because you know that other person is going to come back into the picture sometime down the line. They usually come back when the main lead couple are happy together too.
2) Only certain number of days to live. I avoid these, despite knowing some of them are very good, because I know it will be sad and full of tears.
3) Super long synopsis or summary or background BEFORE even watching Episode 1. I came to watch, not to read, I'd read a novel if I want to reach that much background lol.
4) Set in a High School. At this point in my drama watching "career", I've seen way too many high school dramas in my younger days, not only drama but manga/manhwa and anime too. I want something different. But you know what? these could be good too.
5) Detective dramas. It sucks to list, because there are very good ones out there, but you have to comb through so many to find the really good ones., and there are MANY. Doesn't help that I'm from the US and we have a ton of detective/cop dramas here. Japanese dramas have a ton of detective shows too.

I only realized Xing Zhao Lin was in it after I started lol
I thought in the novel YWY and XingEr end up together, does he get rescued? revived?
Only thing I did not like was the male lead. he still looks like a kid to me lol
Also, Koike Eiko!
Basically bromance but with women. Usually "sismance" in dramas are the women drinking and crying together.
