And they dealt with controversy over the resemblence to the Chinese drama if I am right, because fighting over accuracy would be dumb since right at the start the text says that characters and plot were changed compared to the actual history. Risks, risks, risks, everyone is afraid while the prime time dramas I mentioned were loved bcs of the gay ships. SO, to hell with homophobic TV stations. They created other dramas which had much bigger controversies and suuuuddenly having gay ending would end them? Oh, pls.

Korea is ready, just look at the positive comments the gay characters got in ex. Sweet munchies, Love with flaws, Moments at 18. Both netizens and international fans were MAD like mad mad that neither of those characters got proper ending and the ending of Sweet munchies was like hot stake stabbed in our hearts. And the important fact is that netizens DID love the gay ships. So, Korea is ready, but those darn TV stations are homophobic.

Nah, I doubt that and why? Look at how many gay characters there have been lately in Korean dramas? I can name more than one, so it's not like they are in stone age. Those characters are test subjects and for now Koreans did love them so it is finally time to give those characters a proper happy ending. If they keep making safe choices as you said, the industry won't change and gay characters will keep being pushed to side with a negative ending like it happend with Sweet munchies or Moments at 18.
