What part of the word 'fiction' does these people do not understand? The story literally takes place in a fictional,…
It's a fiction where the writer couldn't follow the rules of the world she created. Everyone is talking about inaccuracy when they should talk about the poorly written and inconsistent script.
Finally, a voice of sanity. Media Today published a brilliant defense of the drama, and it completely exposes…
The way fans still can't understand it's not about the historical inaccuracy is madness.
Everyone wants to defend this by saying "it's a fiction" or "just a romcom" while forgetting the fact that the writer herself set a world stating it's a constitutional monarchy and Korea is a free country, yet they're still using Chinese traditions. Ergo, it doesn't matter if it's fiction or not, distorting history or not. The writer can't even follow her own rules.
I could watch Dongman and Euna all day. Thankfully, I can rewatch this anytime. π
I usually don't care about the episode number if the story is written properly like here, but I'd love to give this 4 more episodes. Not because I want a happy ending or just an end for every story, because I'm sure we won't get a real ending anyway. This is just a story about people "trying hard" live properly and be loved by someone. The main leads already achieved that. The rest are not really important honestly.
The cardigan scene was better imo, though some didn't like it.
This isn't a romcom, a kiss isn't necessary, and they should never include it for the sake of it. The way they protect and love each other is worth more than 1 million kiss scenes.
Guys, don't worry about the rating; this is just MDL. Give the drama a couple of months, and it's going to win all the awards next year, and you will see so many people rating it high because of the hype.
At the end of the day, the Dongman's and the Euna's of this world always win.
Ain't no way this has a lower rating than those mediocre romcoms these days. People would rather hyper consume…
Most people want to watch brainless fun, not a deep and meaningful story. Not many people can handle something like this. This is why I don't care about ratings anymore.
No, but Disney starting to release it in more countries.
I've been her fan since 2008; trust me, this won't affect her at all; she's been through 10 times worse. People mention her ZEZE song almost every year btw so that's not new.
I wouldn't be surprised if she comes back and writes a diss track about haters again. She did it multiple times; she even wrote a song about journalists.
Well yeah, a lot of hate accounts definitely piled into the comments so it shot up to 20k π I donβt think…
Did I say there isn't forced hate? I only said, not everything is hate and we all know fans love to put everything in the same bag.
Why should I be the last person? I've been an IU fan since 2008 and I'm still not biased and rate this mess 6/10, I actually write a proper review unlike most people.
My view is never one-sided. I literally said both haters and toxic positive people are the same.
Who said that? You can read a LOT of comments, and not only on MDL where people are calling everyone a hater just because they don't like the drama. Ignorance is a choice.
You only talk about haters, but you never mention people who attack the valid criticism. Like I said, ignorance is a choice.
Forced hate and blind love are the same thing.
Writing reviews is one of my jobs, btw, so I know what constructive criticism means.
You know "When Life Gives You Tangerines" is the most successful Kdrama of all time, and not only based on MDL ratings but also awards, reviews, views, and massive impact on the Korean economy as we speak still. Like, it generated 60 BILLION KRW only this year, I think.
How is it that people didn't hate on one of the most popular dramas of all time last year?
Why do people hate on Perfect Crown this much?
Please do the math, and if you find out the reason, we can continue. I won't tell you because my answer would anger more people.

It's not just hate. Let's not forget there's a thing called "toxic positivity" as well. It's the same thing.
One side can't stop hating; the other side can't stop calling everyone haters and attacking everyone who don't rate it 10/10.
The real problem: Neither side understand the difference between fair criticism and the actual love for the show not just blind love.
Haters are just haters for no reason, and blindfolded fans are just "LOVE" everything their faves put out. Neither is a good thing and that's why Kdrama and Kpop world is so toxic.
Not boring but poorly written, zero character development, zero story or world building things just happen randomly. Even the romance is lacking because it's like there are a lot of fun or cute moments with the lead characters. There was one kiss scene people can't shut up about and that's all basically.
Exactly. It is fiction! How come that too much attention is given to these Korean nitpickers who have too much…
Sure, Jen. Maybe you'll understand when you grow up. Doubt it tho.
Also, I don't care about the effort. I don't rate dramas based on effort, I rate it based on why I like and this one was poorly written, it's not only about the historical accuracy. Use your brain if you think you're smarter than me.

So, no, it's not a consistent story at all.

I keep seeing so many people cheering for the Queen Mother to get a happy ending. That's enough insanity for me.
