Title Tempest Spoiler
Rather startling to see 2 acts of political violence that look exactly like what happened to Charlie Kirk today.

This drama compared to one of a similar storyline - Uncanny Counter, shows the tremendous differences in storytelling, action, acting, the difference is startling.

What the FL did with the rival’s knife had me laughing. I also crack up seeing the reactions when different characters taste her cooking. Is her secret ingredient a hallucinogen.😂

Lee Chae Min is nailing this role. His expressions are perfect for the wide range of emotions his role as king requires. And in the scene in the greenhouse, the way he looks at her when she was so delighted with her gifts! It was like an arrow to the heart. It took my breath away

I’ve missed you JDY! Was spoiled in 2023 with all your dramas (Like Flowers in Sand is still one of my faves),…
Same here - adored him in Like Flowers in Sand, as he brings so much sincerity to his roles.

anythng that disney touches turns into total bs trash meaningless soapy thing So many of us escaped from the western…
I understand you have your tastes and preferences, and the offerings during these summer months is probably frustrating, but these are rather sweeping conclusions.? For one thing, the writing and director team for this drama are NOT top tier, justifying this cast and budget. Secondly, there have been many good dramas this year - When Life Gives You Tangerines, Study Group, Trauma Code, Head Over Heels, I also enjoyed Way Back Love, Mercy For None, Haunted Palace, Our Unwritten Seoul, Hyper Knife and others. Each platform has had some bombs - When Stars Gossip, Motel California, etc. As for western shows, there have been some with a lot of heart - Murderbot, Lessons in Chemistry, Adolescence, Paradise, Fallout, Andor.

Disney has produced some amazing dramas - Moving, Light Shop, A Shop For Killers, Judge From Hell, Call It Love, Jeongnyeon, Flex X Cop, Revenent, Worst of Evil, and more.
They have their share of ordinary or bad, as do the other platforms.

As we head into fall and winter, I think the lineup of upcoming programs look promising.

You’re right. But isn’t it a paradox that she told him the name of the book and he writes the title of the book after remembering what SHE told him. Sort of chicken and the egg time loop

The cast is superior to the writing directing team. Which makes me think this is going to be like Impossible Heir in terms of disappointment. Even the fight scenes, which should have been at least decent, are weak. I hope the next 2 episodes hook me, as there is a lot of other stuff I can watch instead.

we are in a time loop = spoiler theory to follow
the book she has is the one the King is working on now - recipes, same title, and the glow of the titles. Having said that, the end of the book said something to the effect that he hoped they would meet again, sort of like a hint that someone in the past reaching out? So the recipes she cooks now get written in this book, and if they find the book in her bag, and that proves she is from the future, what then?

I just hated the tigers fight scenes. I don't know how they managed to do it, but it looks really unrealistic.…
agree with the fight scenes especially first one where a gang of people attack one at a time, waiting for turns to be beat up rather than fighting all at once.

This is what happens in real life. Most perverts intuitively approach the women who initially seem unlikely to…
I remember this phenomenon with women who are very polite, as they aren't firm enough in rejection because it goes against their nice nature. They mean no, but the perpetrator sees that they can bulldoze through rejections that are too nice.

This episode felt so contrived. I understand how it wants to pull at the heartstrings regarding the various mother and cild relationships the dialogue comes across as stilted. I am having difficulty getting attached to this drama

But why didn't Hyo Min push that pervert's hand away when he tried to touch her hair, mind you not once but twice,…
this this this - PLUS I couldn't stand that her friends didn't pick up the cues that she wasn't interested and kept giving him personal information. Did he have some magical power to control women? super disturbing.

Since only 10 episodes I will probably continue until end. BUT not really excited about this, kind of boring.…
I think it is because it is a show within a show. She explores South Korea for other people - which wink wink - is us, taking us on a journey of beautiful sights, unique food, customs, crafts to explore and savor. Within that show of a show, they embed a feel good story. It might not be your cup of tea, but I love the healing relaxing tone and so refreshing after so many dramas of vengeance, angst, etc. A nice, comforting little drama.

Title Trigger Spoiler
Its message is sort of directed at the situation in the US, where politicians who are beholden to the gun lobby insist that selling more guns is essential for people to feel safe from others who have guns, which isn’t true. If anything the violence is escalating. Now people with a grudge perpetrate mass murder almost every day. Plus more suicides and domestic violence killing as well. This was an uncomfortable watch in that the infamous Columbine school shooting was perpetrated by schoolboys who felt belt like outcasts, possibly bullied. What this series gets right is the allure of vengeance when justice is denied. The feeling of being empowered. They also show that vengeance comes with a high cost and ruination of the victim and society. The scourge of guns is not anything I wish on any country. It is so darn depressing and discouraging. Not my favorite genre, a tough uncomfortable watch but I was appreciative of the character of the ML whose choices were consistent To the end
