So far this drama is interesting and visually pleasing. A very smart no non sense female lead. And it’s so funny.…
Some clowns already gave a (rather low) overall rating with their provisional review. I guess that drags the whole rating down despite the excellent rating for the individual episodes.
Not true, the Empress Dowager was lovely in Royal Rumours and a few other ones. Here as much as I dislike that bitter old woman, I immensely enjoy the acting. The actress is really good and I love to see that she's given the opportunity to shine.
There's a link in the "recent discussions" section. So far there's only a machine-translated version.
It might be easier to read once you know the people and the rough storyline as sometimes the machine translations can be very confusing in that they always mix up he/she and relations between people (i.e. translating "son" when it should be "master").
Ep. 12 and 13 were so good!! The smoudering chemistry between them is slowly getting out of hand and the dialogue…
... when she said "you're so good to me" just to add a second later "much better even than my father" that was such a romance killer!!! One could literally see the ML's face drop to his knees 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's a bit strange, indeed. Since all the already aired episodes have a decent rating I can only conclude that…
Hahaha, I have a must-finish-the-book policy :-) but I drop dramas when they are too boring/annoying/pink-coloured/etc. I occasionally rate shows that I drop, but not if I've just seen 2 or 3 episodes.
Well the Northern Liang were tribal nomadic people. Its harsh weather and life, I can't imagine their women can…
There was a nice passage about this in the book behind "Unchained Love" where the FL pities the Han noble women who can barely walk a short distance due to their bound feet, whereas it would be unthinkable for a nomadic tribe to willfully cripple someone's feet. Sadly all this quite clever social criticism of the book was omitted in the drama version.

They were already there yesterday. And can I just say, how ridiculous is it to give a 6 or 7 rating and then claim it's an ongoing rating?? If you're not sure about your rating, why not wait until the drama is over?
There seems to be something wrong with the stats on MDL - or maybe maths is become a dying artform? If you look at the age distribution chart, it is scoring over 8.5 in every age group. Oh, and if you look at the pie chart, 4 people actually claim to have completed the drama. I would like to know how they did it. With all the loopholes that allow bogus ratings (like rating episodes that haven't aired yet, as some did on LoA) the MDL rating is quickly becoming totally meaningless.
