Wow. Ep.11 packed a punch. So much went on but who edited Ep.11?! I usually don't mind but that scene by the city…
Almost all the background scenery looked so incredibly fake that it was a shock to the eyes. It doesn't bother me, though, because the story is good and the acting is good. Even a perfect CGI couldn't keep my interest if the story was boring or abstruse (there's been a few dramas like that, lately).
Frankly, after watching ep. 10 I get the feeling he knows already and he is playing with her. There were two situations…
Yep, and the opening scene of ep 11 confirms my suspicion: if this mountain is reserved for the descendants of the Han and the Di family would the CP who is such a stickler for rules really bring an outsider there???
Frankly, after watching ep. 10 I get the feeling he knows already and he is playing with her. There were two situations where he quite openly provoked her by mentioning the Di family to see her reaction...
I didn't really like episode 1 much, to be completely honest. It had some potential, but the CG was terrible and…
For me the biggest turn-off in the first episode was that Anle stayed in "silly character" for the whole episode. Whereas this persona is amusing in small portions, I couldn't have taken another complete episode of this. The drama gets interesting the moment she starts switching between sillyness and seriousness. I grew up with 70s-style fantasy dramas, so I can totally ignore bad CGI π
For me, it improves. What I like about this drama so far is that the plot is character-driven. Things are happening…
I've seen that quite often, when screen-writers "get creative" to add things to otherwise decent novel material, these scenes very often stick out like a sore thumb. It is normal that some things need to be modified as the story-telling in drama is different from that of a novel, but a lot of these script-writers take too many liberties. If they think their brain-farts are that awesome, why don't they write their own novel?
waaait hold up, this drama is so good and MUCH better than all those other historical dramas currently airing…
Oh dear, I'm watching both and didn't even realise it's the same FL!! π³ What is wrong with my eyes??? π΅βπ« π΅βπ« π΅βπ« Either the make-up and styling is out of this world or I was too distracted by the eye-candy next to her...
It's quite clear that he is not as simple as he appears to be. Whether he has the teeth to follow up on his ambitions…
I see. I haven't read the novel, but I can say from experience, that the complexity of novel characters, especially if they have a slightly "grey" side, hardly ever make it into the drama version. Sadly, C-dramas like their MLs whiter than white. I still remember one ruthless and imposing Xiao Duo who ended up as a puppy dog in Unchained love. But I hope against reason that you are right and for once we get to see a great scheming ML.
Han Ye is not your simple, goody-two-shoes character. He has the intelligence, the layers, the farsightedness.…
It's quite clear that he is not as simple as he appears to be. Whether he has the teeth to follow up on his ambitions remains to be seen... As for the "BEST male lead character" - that sounds very much like the exaggeration of a die-hard fan, especially before we've even seen a third of the drama. While tastes are different, quite a few iconic figures come my mind... for instance Ning Yi of TROP is one tough cookie to beat.
It probably the kiss scene got cut.hahaππππππ
Aaargh, why can't we get any proper kissing scene in a bit drama anymore?? Please don't tell me GJ also claims to be married (to Zhou Zishou?) πππ
OMG that princess is soooo dumb, I want to scream every time she opens her mouth! And they trusted her with the biggest secret of the show? This will not end well.. Loved the double-entendre with the spying eunuch, though. It's quite impressive that they got away with this!
I just read the synopsis of the novel - sounds like an interesting story and a role tailor-made for Jeremy Tsui. He seems to be playing a lot of prime ministers lately...
There is a beautiful woman in Zhao State, with a rough fate. She went to Wei State far away to find a marriage as she wanted to keep her life and climb up. There is a handsome prime minister in the state of Wei, who is ruthless, merciless and with a sharp tongue. He only wants to achieve his own goals, and he doesn't care about anyone's life. Taohua thinks that everyone has a heart for beauty, so no matter what, saying that you kill her, doesn't mean you can kill her! Shen Zaye smiled and showed her with practical actions - he is not human. "You have the ability to shoot an arrow and let me kill two people!" Taohua yelled, scratching her neck. "Okay, go all the way." Shen Zaiye waved his hands calmly and gave the order. Feather arrows slid past her ears, and a cold feeling hit her whole body. Only then did Jiang Taohua realize that Shen Zaye was really not joking. He would literally kill her. "Your life is mine. I can take it whenever I want." Shen Zaye said slowly, his eyes fell behind her, and he suddenly became sharp: "But I can only take it!"Β·Β·Β·Β·Β· Β· This is a wonderful story of the hero and heroine fighting each other with great joy and passion (gou) and love (xue). Shen Zaiye has a hundred ways to kill Jiang Taohua, and Jiang Taohua has a hundred and one ways to make him let her go. The old fox may not necessarily win, and the little white rabbit isn't certain to lose. The mountains and rivers are beautiful in spring, who will win the battle of the thousands of miles of mountains and rivers? (This is a machine translation - I didn't get the bit about shooting the arrows...)
Hanye will be confused when the fake Ziyuan (a girl who he was waiting for a decade) appears, however now his…
I hope Gong Jun has been practising his jaw-dropping routine π because when he finally sees the light it will hit the floor!!! Outch! ππππ
This drama has one of the best first episodes I've ever seen in C-drama land! The camerawork, sound design and…
Yes, that was absolutely brilliant. I especially liked how totally unpredictable everything was. That was quite a wonderful change from the usual romance-heavy dramas.
It doesn't bother me, though, because the story is good and the acting is good.

LCF: Huh???? π²π²π²π²
