Yah I don’t know why they choose that voice, doesn’t sound right & I don’t understand Chinese lol
I don't know any Chinese (other than the snippets picked up from watching too many C-dramas), so I wouldn't be able to identify any dialect. It's hard to describe the impression the voice had on me, it felt a bit insecure/hesitant and sounded somewhat nasally. The effect was particularly strong in his first scene. It got better once there was a bit more talking.
According to DramaWiki Dilreba is dubbed by Liu Xiao Yu. Of the main cast only Liu YuNing seems to be using his own voice. I'm not a great fan of dubbing especially when the actors have better voices than what they are "given".

Dilreba's voice is horribly squeaky and doesn't fit her character at all. I'm surprised to read that Liu YuNing did his own dubbing because the voice sounds kind of strange, too.
First episode out, so far so good. It's engaging and nicely paced, but why did they give Dilreba such a stupid mickey-mouse-voice again? It really doesn't suit the character! And to all the people complaining about the subs, if you had done your training watching MangoTV dramas you would consider these subs top-notch 🤣🤣🤣
It sucks, truly, they're subbing is so hit and miss, they have Love at Night, a fave of mine and subbing is fine,…
Xianxia and historicals are generally much more difficult to translate than modern day dramas. I've reviewed a fair amount of machine translations for novels that I wanted to read and the formal speech used in these genres is an absolute killer! Also, in xianxia and wuxia there are plenty of colourful terms for objects, skills, poisons, etc. So even with the best translation software (which clearly isn't what Mango are using 😂) it still needs a human to individually translate/correct all the formal speech, titles and other special terms and reverse the translated personal names back to their original form.
...because literally NOTHING happened in the whole episode other than them aimlessly running through a forest and then coming out again. What was the whole point of that?? I'm getting the feeling they are artificially stretching this out with endless shots of the ML looking confused/dreamy/constipated (pick your favourite interpretation) or of the three of them playing with their food. Also, those brilliant subtitles are now even out sync. Feels like we have reached level two of the subtitle guessing game 😵💫
Yes, Liu Xue Yi is talented in this kind of character, and that's why he is chosen for these charming roles, important…
Yes, I liked it, too. It was the drama where I discovered him as an actor. I had to drop L&R because I couldn't stand the whiny teenage drama, so I never got to really appreciate his stellar role in that.
dont worry. his character in this is the complete opposite of wen kexing
Not necessarily exactly like Wen KeXing, but interesting, so that he gets a chance to show us some acting instead of just looking pretty. Usually the complex, grey characters (and especially the unhinged ones) are a lot more interesting to watch. The calm and kind characters may be nice to have around in real life, but in drama they tend to be a bit boring.

He was quite good in Qing Luo, too. Everybody seems to be forgetting about this one... It was a conventional ML role, and even though the plot had quite a few holes, the acting was pretty decent.
