After a while of watching bad subs you get to develop the "inner translator" that automatically converts the garbled language into normal speech. It's like brain jogging while watching a movie ππππ
Hello, All!I noticed that when I type a comment, it is posting a duplicate. Has this happened to anyone else?…
it occasionally happens when you try to post and receive an error message. If then you click on "post" again the message will eventually show twice (or more times, depending on how often you clicked on "post"). The best way around this is to copy the text of your post and refresh the page, then check if the post is already there and if not, past your copied text into a new post.
Dear novel readers, please don't tell us non-novel readers what happens in the book unless we specifically ask…
As long as the post is properly tagged as a spoiler, I don't know what your problem is. I personally like to see the novel vs drama comparisons because I find the very enriching .
I wish there was this final scene for Luo Zi Shang (in the last episode of the drama), taken from the book:Chinese…
It's no wonder we're getting so many one-dimensional characters when some viewers are even incapable of accepting a villain with a thirst for revenge, but who has a soft spot for his childhood fancy. I see absolutely no contradiction in having those emotions. The best villains are the complex ones and LXY is very good at impersonating them! Hopefully your wish will come true and they include this beautiful scene in the drama - it would be perfect as a flashback.
That's a way to tell how many time past. When a full moon again, it is a month already.
I know what you mean about showing that time has passed, but what I question is why is it always exactly one month that has passed? It could just be 10 days or three weeks. I've see other dramas where you actually get to see the different phases of the moon which is a sign that proper editing was done to mark the passage of time. Permanently showing us a full moon is just lazy editing.

It would be, if the moon ever changed... Or are you trying to say that we only ever get to see the things that happen during a full moon and the rest of the month everyone goes back into hibernation.
Watched two episodes of this and I think I'll give it a pass. Both the ML (stealing and lying to get ahead) and the FL are rather unlikeable characters, the CGI is laughable and the writers don't seem to care much about a coherent plot either.
It all depends on the script-writers... they tend to tone down badass female leads even if they were very strong…
Yeah, the "pinkwashed" is kind of my invention (I think), but feel free to use it. I've always disliked pink because it is such a cliched "girly" colour, so for me that seemed the best way to describe a female character that has been modified to suit the stereotype of the docile and subservient woman who we see so often in C-dramas.
https://twitter.com/dramapotatoe/status/1677528990532370433 By the looks of the trailer, I think it's being released…
This looks quite good! It seems that stabbing the guy at the wedding is turning into a new fashion πππ It will be interesting to see James Yang in costume - he was very impressive in The Desire Catcher.
Ep. 13: "Tighten your legs and lean forward" is probably the worst horse-riding advice I've heard in my life! Did he WANT her to fall off??? π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£
I see tags about both the female & male lead in the first three rows though. Check again? If I am assuming right…
Both strong and amazing would be my preference - I like couples on an equal level. There is usually much less danger though for an ML to be dumbed-down compared to the original novel than for an FL. I guess that's why people's focus is on the FL here.

I know! It's one of the reasons why I had to drop it. The forced humour, the stupid gadgets and the pinkwashed FL were just too much damage to one of my favourite novels.
The guy playing the emperor must be the most experienced emperor-impersonator on the market. I have the impression that he's the emperor in every second drama that I watch πππ And I love it when he looks grumpy and throws stuff at his underlings!
Almost every charming villain and sometimes male lead has a fan. This indicates charm and elegance. But...I see…
Isn't that the purpose of his character? LXY is very good at playing characters that we love to hate... if you find his mannerism infuriating then he's done a good job π
Maybe youβre just watching the ML drama for the first time. His dramas is always like that, heβs so boring…
Oh, don't remind me... that was quite an error of judgement which he probably regretted afterwards. If everything else had been ok I wouldn't hold it against him but it confirms again his "picking roles for which he doesn't fit the job description" attitude.

Well, I wouldn't say that he cannot act, it's just that he cannot act very well in certain types of roles. He is best cast as a stoic, stoney-faced character who doesn't need to convey any complex emotions. I quite liked him in Under the Power. I really don't understand why he always picks roles that require what he doesn't have, like romantic leads or characters described as mesmerisingly beautiful with a toned body. He was one of the main reasons why I had to drop The Blue Whisper - he absolutely didn't do justice to the character he played.

Let's hope she can shine is this role!
