Good! There is nothing worse than actors first accepting a role and then wanting to change the scope or direction of their role. Some of these traffic actors need some serious dressing down, especially the ones with big ego and little talent.

You may find it "troubling" - I find it realistic. In any physical confrontation, whether in old or modern times, those modern sensitivities of political correctness turn into smoke faster than you can blink.
Also, you cannot expect historical dramas to conform to the modern notion of politically correct behaviour, which frankly, borders on the ridiculous sometimes.
I really don't like this new puritanism where men cannot even compliment a woman without being accused of harassment.
Strangely, the FL is "harassing" the ML all the time, yet nobody is calling for him to "kick her balls"...

He already recognised her when he was drunk (ep. 7) so I think he will get there quite soon. My guess is once the fake Di Ziyuan turns up the coin will drop.

In this case they might stop airing new episodes at any moment (because some eps are being withheld by the production company).
That would be rather unpleasant for us, the viewers...

If so, this must be why he claimed to be weak when asked to travel with the Crown Prince. I was confused by that - he is the FL's former bodyguard after all, so should have some physical strength...

Yes, it's nice to respect different tastes, and that also includes not down-rating a drama after 3 eps because you don't like the genre or the actors.
If you don't like it, just drop it.

Yayaya, I know, pretty boys, lots of pink and the main couple staring at each other in slow-motion every 15 mins with the OST playing out.
I get so bored with stuff like that!
It doesn't have to be a revenge drama to be good, but I like something to keep the braincells engaged (even if it's just the MangoTV subtitle guessing-game).

There seem to be a lot of people deliberately down-rating the drama (probably without even watching any of it) because they don't like one or both of the leads.

If the story is good (no fillers, or romantic slo-mo...) I very happily take 60 episodes, even if I can only watch one or two per day.

Yeah, I had the same thought. Emperors often are portrayed very negatively, either power-crazy or totally ignorant of the real world, but this one actually looks quite decent. He trusts his son to handle things properly and he seems to know who are the bad apples in his court.
Also drama-logic would dictate that the FL cannot kill the father of her love-interest...

It was only the 1st episode that was bad and apparently it has now been corrected. Looks like they really were in a hurry to get this out...

So we are day 3 after the start of the drama and Youku still haven't come forth with an airing schedule. What the hell are they playing at?
Their webfeed is full of posts to "come and watch the show" but they can't even be bothered to say when the next episodes will be out.
Is this a new strategy to stop dramas from being "postponed"???
