Janice lost her touch after her divorce. 😥😥Here, it felt like she was a robot.
I don't think it's the actress. This role was written this way to portray an emotionally unavailable person. This also makes it very hard to create visible chemistry between the leads, but I think they had a few very good moments. They were a lot more subtle than many romantic C-dramas because this isn't a romance drama.
Can someone explain to me Dr. Cai Yu Xiao's behavior? Why he lied about his parent's death? Why did his father…
I think he lied about his parents because he was ashamed of them. As the mother was selling flowers on the street I would assume that they were quite poor, so not "presentable" enought for an ambitious doctor. Another reason could be the mothers dementia (family members with disabilities are often hidden from the rest of the world). It's not really made very clear in the drama, but I think he gave up his career to look after the parents because he felt very guilty. His look when his mother thinks LB is her son speaks volumes.
Anyone read the novel? I'm starting it but a bit anxious with the story already.
I'm a bit hesitant to start as the translation is still on-going. I got stranded on a few others where the translation suddenly got dropped and reading the MTL version seems just too complicated when it comes to xianxia novels.
Watched 8 episodes of this now and the story seems to going nowhere... I find neither any of the main characters nor the plot engaging in any way. There seems to be plenty of action, but it all appears rather pointless. Like the crown princes trip... where did he go?... what did he do?...why are some out to kill him?
Just checked to find out that it "cannot be shipped to my location"... why does this feel like a déjà vu???
I know, but it just isn't the same! Good books have to be made from paper (just ask Captain Picard 🤣) Also, there's a danger my iPad might get damaged under the flood of tears...
Thank God we get Yunxi's voice intact !After hearing his LCR dubbing..can't wait for this ...😭😭❤️
I like my actors minimalist and intense (not just pretty and good a the fighting scenes). Usually I like to see them in a few different roles to form an opinion, which isn't so easy since I almost exclusively watch Xianxia-Wuxia. There are, however, a few, memorable performances: Jing Chao in Princess Silver and Chen Kun in The Rise of Phoenixes. Gao Wei Guang as poetry-quoting drunkard in Swords of Legends and as Dongua in the Eternal Love dramas. He is the only actor that I've seen so far who managed to pull off the indifferent-cold ML without turning into a piece of wood. Lately, I was also quite impressed with Leo Wu chanelling his inner mass-murderer in LLTG. Given that he is still "a baby" compared to the other three he sure has potential.

Thanks! That's pretty impressive! What impressed me most though was his acting in AOL which made him stand out by miles from the rest of the cast. He really is one of the few actors that I've seen in Xianxia/Wuxia dramas whose acting skills are on par with the best of Western actors. And when I think of good acting, I mean Royal Shakespeare Company, not Hollywood! 😁

Yeah, I know there's nothing like a ballet dancer!
No, I've never seen the AOL training scenes. I must admit that I really didn't like this drama and dropped it halfway through. I just got too annoyed with that stalker-type ML and the stupid FL who just couldn't see who the better man was (not matter how much I screamed at the TV screen!)

Don't jinx it!!! I was talking about the games video though... since I'm not a gamer I will never get to see this which is too bad. I can just never get enough of his graceful gestures 😍 It's something that is sadly missing in all the modern dramas. The only reason to (re-)watch "And the Winner is Love" would be to see him elegantly float down from the skies...
I just hope she doesn’t die in the end. I’ll wait for it to end before watching it, so I can be sure I won’t…
Given that Huntington's is an incurable disease that only gets worse over time I don't have much hope for a happy ending. Plus LYX seems to be the go-to cast for roles that involve angst, suffering and silent desperation.
Episode 18.. i seriously can't stand his sister :/
I'm with you. I find her a bit lacking in the personality dpt. and that demented smile is seriously testing my patience. Fortunately she has fewer active scenes later on.
Quite entertaining, too bad the episodes are so short. Overall this is a lighthearted drama, with a bit of suspense…
And most importantly, it manages to steer clear of quite a few C-drama tropes, such as the dopey FL, the almost obligatory misunderstandings leading to breakup between the main couple storyline and the rushed ending.
