It depends on what you like… If you’re into cushy romance with romantic scenes set to music, this one isn’t for you. If you like family stories with a strong supporting cast, then go for it!
Does it have à lot of fight scenes or it just about romance
It’s mostly about family dynamics, a bit about politics. There are some good fight scenes. The romance is so far one-sided and not the focus of the story.
Lol, like the drama is so slooowww. Even a tortoise will go faster than their pace 😂
Yes, the “romance” is slow to non-existent, but there is so much more going on! I actually like the fact that the focus isn’t on the romance or even on the main couple. This drama has so many interesting characters, played by good actors that every episode is a joy to watch for the ensemble, not just the main leads.
Who do you think is the best partner for ZYC in the future? Gulnazar Bextiyar? Zhou Ye? Dilruba Dilmurat? Or who…
I know he is the SML with LSS, bu I hope they will have a few interesting scenes together. He had nice costumes in that drama, too. The two of them look very good together and if they partnered again we could have a martial arts fest.

Someone who can act, so Dilreba and Naza are out 😂 plus they are both so stick-thin that I just can’t take them seriously in any martial arts role. Zhou Ye is ok, just not my type of girl… I liked his ‘pairing’ with Liu Shishi (BTW I read we’re getting this one in December). Otherwise, I think Meng Zhiyi would look great with him and she’s got a bit of oomph acting wise. Wu Jinyan or Zheng HeHuiZhi would also suit me fine.
Correction: it’s not the drama with Liu Shishi that is upcoming, but the one with Tan Songwen.
Given the setting of the drama, I don’t think there will be a lot of colour. Todays costume is black-and-white…
If the plot is bad, no amount of fancy clothing can save it for me. There are many recent examples of S-level productions that tanked despite the generous clothing budget because either the plot or the acting (or both) were sub par.
His character Ghost Peony is very interesting and mysterious. Not much is written about him in the beginning,…
He was dubbed in all his recent dramas (in my opinion) due to time constraints and/or the production team deeming his voice too manly for the teenage target audience. If for SLY he has the support of the production team and considering how much importance he attached to this role, the miracle may happen and we get to hear that glorious voice again 🙏
This drama once again shows that Jeremy Tsui’s talents are quite wasted in the stiff-faced roles he had to do (not his choice, the agency decides) in recent years. He has superb comedic talent that should be cherished and put to good use.
If you don't mind that everything looks so outdated + bad wardrobe & styling, this is quite fun to watch. The…
I actually like the visuals of this. People’s faces have a natural colour and you can see the details of their faces instead of excessive filters turning everyone’s face into an undetermined white blob.
Don’t blame Youku, blame that useless schmuck Zhang Haowei! He’s the one who couldn’t keep his blabbermouth…
Yes, mostly due to everyone waiting to see if he can be cleared. Also, ‘Kill Me Love Me’ was moved forward reportedly because the FL is pregnant and would be unable to promote the drama if it is broadcast later.
There is no way in hell ZYC will be 2nd billed behind that numpty who cannot act. Hopefully she will be restricted…
He is very good in modern ones, too. I saw him in Desire Catcher and I absolutely loved it. Personally, I much preferred My Sassy Princess over The Sleepless Princess. Those “mousy” scenes in the beginning were very silly and I even dropped it once because of it. On the other hand, I’ve watched My Sassy Princess twice already.

Yes, he is very talented and I like watching him a lot, but he has been terribly unlucky with his dramas with many of them apparently shelved or delayed for reasons unrelated to him. I feel like it’s been ages since I last saw him in a drama.

This aura is hard to beat.
2. Be My Princess
3. Trace
