I noticed that too—both men had insecurity over having a partner more capable than or shines brighter than themselves.
I agree but why not make it clear to everybody so everybody can move on. This kind of behavior makes me believe he still wanted to keep her as some kind of warranty (to hide his cowardice and just in case he doesn’t meet someone better)
Yes Nie Chengyuan “mistress” daughter is going around using the surname Nie so people are assuming she’s…
I haven’t read the book. But I believe they moved once he was divorced once divorced even if it’s physical it isn’t cheating. I doesn’t excuse his stupidity but I believe words should be used accordingly
i too feel bad for him right person wrong time. It was just misunderstandings which made them have no choice for…
Very true. That guy is just bad news. Women should stop defending bad behavior, find excuses to those men. He had 4 university years to make thing clear but he confused two women an led made them both feel bad. And when he realized that aside him Rong despised her because she was the rich girl he felt hurt because he wasn’t the center of their world: typical narcissist’s behavior!

As a mam he must also feels humiliated to go after a woman that is richer than himself. He has lot of insecurities and shame. He did rejected her because he wanted to be with Rong
I don't hold that against him, he is young, and the situation was pretty realistic. I've overheard some wild conversation…
I can’t imagine any of my family member speaking of my love life that much and even less in public. Those nosy families feel very weird to me but they spill the tea and serve the drama on a plater
It starts as light and kinda funny but as soon that everything is cleared up and she forgives him, the drama turned bad. They had nothing more to say and pull up some bad cliches. I never felt the two had chemistry or a beginning of attraction for each other so it does help from episode 16 to the end. The side characters aren’t very interesting because 90% of them lack development they are just there basically. The few things I did like: 1 - the show did not went too far on the gaming aspect (contrary to falling in your smile). Gaming is a mix of acted game with chat between gamers + business. 2 - I really like the personality the lead woman had, pretending to be pretty but in fact a bad ass. The show lost me when suddenly they made her weak (afraid of horror movie, incapable to take care by herself of her broken door) I felt to make him looked to good they had to make her looked bad. 3 - Parents aren’t too dramatic and annoying. 4 - No excessive villain. 5 - No love triangle
Looking for other Chinese period drama with the same vibe as Perfect Match. on Viki or maybe Netflix, without fantasy or magic powers just regular Chinese human-being 😂. Any suggestions?
I honestly could not tell who was who and dropped it.
🤣🤣🤣 I went through that confusion too because I did get at first who were all those people and their connection and also because there is an additional young woman. Basically oldest daughter is a divorcee, second one is married already to coward man, 4 youngest are single and Mrs Li lives also with her dead son bride to be. At some point you get it.
Rong isn't worth the effort. In a way by ignoring Rong's crap and proving her innocence, GX embarrased her more.…
True. Learning Korean and having discussions with Koreans on instagram really help me to understand those social differences in drama. So now I try to not be too harsh judging characters because what is easy for me as a French (rejecting men, replying to mean old people, blocking an ex, cutting for good a relationship, refusing a drink, going somewhere alone…) can be a challenge for an Asian woman.

In western world is easier to cut relationships in Eastern world easier said than done as people gonna judge you for not getting along with your high school friends, college friends, work colleagues even if they are horrible. Eastern world put the group dynamic before individual’s interest
