Agree that the romance is unnecessary. But I always see this as a female-centric drama. The "male lead" is more…
Sorry for the late reply. I wish the show was more focused on her. It feels like he was supposed to be a side character but they shoehorned him in somehow to give the side romance plotline because they might have wanted that demographic to stick around and not get bored from watching it.
With all the money and the power one can get, succession is kinda like a race of life and death situation. You…
I've seen Reborn Rich the drama version and they took it to the next level. I feel like every ambitious person wants power to do anything but for me, it's more like are they that many people that are so ambitious they will kill? Oh well, it's fictional story so of course we will get more of the extreme side lol I'm sure there are true stories related to it but it's more portrayed in fiction that side.
maybe they take all their belongings lol. but yeah I wonder if some companies acutally act this way in real life??…
Literally. They are one minute away from committing actual crimes. Is it that serious? I get the fact it's a million/billion dollars company they want but a cafe shop as an alternative is still a business that will achieve them income regardless. But oh well, it's kdrama. I don't think they want us to apply to much logic on that.
Me trying figure out if I'm heavily invested or I find it ridiculous when kdrama act like a succession race is a life and death situation where one of them have to die or else their life is over... Like LMAO calm down. You are still rich even without the company 😭 Like I promise you won't be penniless... You won't be in the street the next day.
I have to say, this show is up there for me as one of the worst dramas I've seen this year. I know I'm in the minority with this opinion so I'll put emphasis that it is my opinion.
I have to say I see why people like it. Kdrama don't really write good revenge stories. When you struggle to name even five that did revenge well enough then that's the biggest sign they don't do it well which is why this standout, not because it's well written, but because the bad guys get what they deserve decently enough. The execution was lackluster, the characters are lackluster, and progression was lackluster. Everything is mediocre especially the male lead. They wasted his character instead of developing him properly. The romance was unnecessary. My biggest disappointment of the year considering how over hyped it was and still is. This is the drama that looks good because everything else is bad.
I'm only 3 episode in but the servant is my favorite character! She will survive ANYTHING 😂 she already making money, done herself a business when she barely knows what's going on. She is hilarious. You go girl!
I did. The kiss were more romantic and sensual than the desperate ones in the drama. It feels like it represented Xie Wei finally learning how to love.
Awww that ending!!! The way Xie Wei was bullying his son, omg. This is a unexpected father and son dynamic. I actually want to see more of it! Zhang Zhe might have to stop visiting for the safety of that kid lol. Oh man, that was an adorable ending. I wouldn't have mind another extra episode with Xie Wei teaching his kids... actually, if we could get a whole arc of them growing as well with Ning being the boss of everything.
I agree. The writing and the montage were not great. I think the writers and screenwriters are a bit confused……
The problem was, they started the romance pretty late so instead of creating problems, they should have smoothly sailed us into it. Putting this type of stuff at the last 8 was just not it when there was barely any romantic scenes with them together. I was really looking forward to them being together. I couldn't help but be disappointed. Like why not just develop the romance????
Thats why he is always so angry and constipated. Poor poor man. 🥹His happiness came quite late in the drama.…
They out here making him pop a vein into relapsing when they could have used it to make some cute scenes. Unforgivable but at least we are heading towards the happy ending cuz I was waiting for long time.
Yes, yes, it redeemed some of the questionable writing from the previous episode. Xie Wei stabbing his hands instead of hers... the hands that loved playing the Qin. He literally said he will sacrifice his everything. And Ning in response said, she will play the Qin for him when he wants to hear it... like awwww so sweet.... if I didn't know she about to bust his ears with that awful skills 😂 like she improved but like it takes like 10 years to play decently... I pray for Xie Wei's ears 🙏 the TRUE sacrifice
Oof, I didn't like the writing decisions they made with this one. Like no, don't ruin the female lead (and male lead) near the end. First, the weird hand placement on the neck. In the other scene, it made sense and I didn't think much of it. In this one, it's unnecessary. He could have just dragged her. It feels like the writer shoving it in there for no reason LMAO. And the female lead blaming him for her death on the other timeline... you killed yourself. What you mean he killed you? She forgave people who did so much worse AND was part of the manipulators that made a lot of characters go to their demise yet she gave everyone a chance but refuses to give it to him? If I'm being honest, even if he DID kill her in that timeline, that was deserved and a small crime considering that timeline had way more henious garbage going on.
Like I get it. I do understand where she is coming from. She have the inner conflict going on and it's not easy to get rid of the fear she have of him but they could have handled it a different way is what I'm saying. The only part I liked was the part where he tried to get rid of that fear in his own messed up way but it fits.
