Sorry but the terrible cgi of especially the baby is unforgivable for a netflix original imo. It at times looked…
I know. Korea's CGI is pretty weak. It may say Netflix but the production is still Korean. I don't think they have good developers who are advanced and skilled on the level of Western movies. I'm only asking people to be understanding on why they didn't cast a real baby.
For people being dissatisfied with how the "baby" look, please remember it's covid and that newborn/few months old children are at high risk of catching it so of course the baby will look "weird".
I do see your point, but I didn't see it that way. The way I saw it was he wanted the CP to know his feelings…
That's what I thought as well when he confessed but then the CP went out on a "date" with him and explained how she would get married and basically rejected him... even if she reciprocated it, t's obvious the relationship isn't going anywhere because she is soon to be king. She is not a random man/noble in the streets. He seems to think it's "okay" as long as they "hide" which is the most dangerous thought one could have. The palaces is filled with eyes. His lack of understanding that is what I annoys me and I was glad he left because he seemed like he would get her caught.
I know it's survival thing which is why I was happy that she was deposed and WANTED HER to be deposed from the start. I was literally hoping she would do something that will make her lose her crown prince title to her brother. I don't know how long she was planning to do this but the "fake it till you make it" seems a bit impossible once she gets married. Marrying a woman and somehow getting a child?? That is messy. Either the future crown princess have to cheat or the crown prince have to make someone rape the wife when she isn't looking because they will not allow the CP not to even "attempt" to have a baby.None of the options are great. Very heavy topic, I know. So I was cheering when she left because she can be finally happy but now I'm in distress thinking about that grandfather ruining everything.
Now that I'm up to date, I want to say I'm not feeling the romance as much as I did the first 8 episodes. I just can't get over my disappointment in Ji Un. He confessed his feelings to the CP and SOMEHOW expected the CP will be like "Yes, let's be together even though I'm on my way to be king and if people found out I have an affair with a 'man' they will behead me, you and everyone related." like what in the name of THOUGHTLESS is this? What did he expect to happen? Of course the CP will reject him. There is consequence to every action in that time period. I'm fine with the confession but I'm not fine with how he seems to have no understanding of the CP position. I'm glad in ep 12 he redeemed himself but that moment really made it seem like he is someone who will ONLY act on how he feels without any regards to others. I didn't care who the female lead will end up with but I now realize that Hyun is the superior male lead. It's too bad K-Drama strange romanization and fetishizing of 'first love' is undefeated.
this is so good. why aren't all the people talking about this ??
It just ranked up as number 1 in MDL and I'm like "where have this show been?" Lol it popped up out of nowhere and the summary sounds like my type so I'm definitely watching now.
are you kidding? lol he was terrifying!! lol i was so scared since he arrived whilst watching haha that scene…
The fact he is terrifying and kinda of crazy is what sets him apart for others. I would say his reasons are somewhat justifiable. He was trying to create chaos with Joseon visible class system which most of them have outside of the Crown Prince. They treat "low borns", orphans, slaves, court lady/eunch like TRASH. They are "disposable" humans which is why they kill them without hesitation or treat them like prostitutes if they are women, bully them if they are men. And he hates all of the highers up for that... honestly, I bet even REAL history had many trashy crown prince so his assumption would have been accurate. As for the girl he likes, she became one of the Emperor's concubines and they treat it like she should be "grateful" he took interest in her when she doesn't really love him. She is forced in a marriage she can't refused because he is king. It's really frustrating for the Qing guy because 1. He got successful later on life so he could have married her and both would be happy but of course, she became a court lady because Joseon sold her off and now can't escape this marriage without death penalty. They have an affair behind the Emperor back so they are playing dangerous game.
When she punched that guy from Qing... I was screaming beat his ass in the background lmao it was satisfying to see because we know she HOLDS back so many times. But real talk, that guy wasn't THAT unlikeable. When that officer tried to pimp one of the dancers who was there to earn a living not to be a sex slave, I enjoyed the fact he humiliated him for it by asking for his wife instead and tried to execute him. This type of misogynistic men deserves a punishment.
I know Lee Do Hyun just got a TON of offers and already had scheduling conflicts so couldn't consider it unless…
I was thinking about that or maybe they got other scripts they preferred to do over this. Anyway, I know Woo Dohawn performance at least won't disappoint.
I don't understand how you watched 11 episodes without hating on anyone lol Moohak's family, Dali's cousin, Chak…
I was annoyed with certain characters like the assistant and the useless brother who everyone (for some reason) making seem a lot innoncent like he didn't witness what happened to Dali's father but episode 12 take the icing on the cake. The amount of shamelessness made me done. I actually didn't mind Chak Hee. You don't know how many annoying 2nd female leads there are. Most 2nd female leads will do everything to sabotage the relationship with the main leada yet she was on the sidelines most of the time while Taejin, I actually liked him the first 8 episodes but then his obsession became disgusting to look at. I just hope he is a good villain
I'm going to hell for this but I lowkey laughed when karma slapped the grandfather in the face by killing the wrong twin. I feel sadden the brother died and wanted him to live somehow but that grandfather was willing to kill her, not even giving her a chance to start a life somewhere else because she was a girl... just reminded me how history preferred sons over daughters. Anyway, I'm only in episode 3 so I'm sorry for not being up to date and bringing up old news.
Moohak literally the only one delivering. I love Dali (will talk about her during the last episode about how much I love her character) but even she pales a little bit in comparison. Like he is the best.
How is it that I didn't hate anyone for 11 episodes but then epsiodes 12 came and now I hate 90% of the characters. Like episode 12 really brought out the WORST in everyone.
Maybe because my financial situation is blinding my vision but I couldn't help but agree with Moohak about how it's a load of bullshit that the "huge" hit only made them 7K dollars. You are working months for 7K dollars that can't even pay the employees monthly salary? And they have the AUDACITY to be mad at him for not appreciating it? They were crying like bitches over not being paid on time and forgetting they owe him 2 MILLION DOLLARS ? It's fine the fact this gallery is not making much when it's someone's else money but not yours? The lack of morality is astonishing. Puff of Dandelions my ass. He deserved to call them out for it and I would even go as far as to say he should have SLAPPED HER (Only violence I'm okay with). She was the one who was supposed to APOLOGIZE to him and not the other way around. They were already hypocrites but they became even more insufferable when money won them over at the end, being fully happy to screw over the reputation of a man they worked for YEARS.... Like all that bullshit they were sprouting was just lies and to make themselves feel good about themselves. Moohak didn't deserve this disrespect and they are not forgiven in my book even if they came later to beg for forgiveness. They are backstabbers! They shouldn't be near 5 foot.
Not Lee Do Hyun and Kwak Dong Yeon rejecting this... like all three actors I like were offered. I'm worried this might be a shit script but I can't not just not watch it if Woo Dohwan played it.
Yeah.. I too find that scene illogical. We saw Dali faced similar situation at the motel. So this time she must…
They could have made it slightly different. Like her trying to get out and gets caught by Moohak who rescue her. Or make her already in the house sleeping (heavy sleeper) and then waking up to find that mess so she locks herself in her room for safety and then he comes in to rescue her. But yea, at least we getting more scenes from these two next episode. I've marathoned 8 episodes in less then two days. I gave up sleep for it lol
That ending of episode 8... they could have done it differently but they chose the most illogical, nonsensical way ever to portray it... unless the female lead is a complete idiot, which she is NOT, don't make scene like that ever. What woman would not see a broken door knob as a red flag? What woman would enter her house, find it all messed up and still doesn't call for help or flee? What woman still stay inside when the lights not working? Was she planning to fight the intruder? Come on, being sheltered isn't an excuse tor this moment. Everyone seen a movie or two. This is my first time being disappointed in this show. Other then this scene, I'm really enjoying this drama.
