That not how I look at the ending at all, yes it might be "HE" in a sense they are together. But they aren't…
Again what you propose does not resolve the time loop,
like you say we assume WSG remember everything due to "Thanks to the dragon deity’s power, he remembered everything: who he truly was, his purpose, and the path he had to take to ensure everyone he cared for would survive the future."
But he does not have the ability to time travel. The person he was in the new timeline cannot just go back to the start of Wei manor using Dragon deity power.
If that was the case... Chi Wen can just end the show before the show even started.
That not how I look at the ending at all, yes it might be "HE" in a sense they are together. But they aren't…
50 year, After LWY was created from the different part of the WWY and other nine tail fox, which was cause by WSG master blowing them up after the flood dragon massacre.
The ending isn’t the only problem with Rebirth is how they got there. But again, just like people can interpret…
from what perspective ? if I use the novel perspective... that ending would be funny cause they arent close in the novel at all.
From a Rebirth perspective, it would still be weird, cause we saw one flashback of them sword-practicing, then a brief exchange in Xi Meng when Yan Xun offers him soup. Then a brief flashback of Zhuge Yue pleading to the emperor to spare Yan Xun.
So you are telling me that is enough to showcase their bond?
That not how I look at the ending at all, yes it might be "HE" in a sense they are together. But they aren't…
I know this is nothing against you either
What these TikTokers have pointed out is that they are imposing their viewpoint as LWY’s viewpoint, which is just not the same. Also doesnt help that they arent considering what Ji Ling action actually did to the timeline
“LWY 2.0 could grow naturally in the past, then meet JL 2.0 later, creating their own memories, but now without worry. LWY 2.0 would not be carrying or manipulated by the sect leader (JY), since it was already killed by JL 1.0. LWY 2.0 also deserved to live under WWY 2.0’s guidance, with much love and warmth. If they played it well, with how WSG has all the memories, they could clear all the missions in each arc faster and cleaner, then create a real happy ending for everyone in the new timeline.”
So, to the point that LWY 2.0 could meet JL 2.0, this does not resolve the time loop. In a world without LWY, JL would have died to Ji Can and been consumed by his loneliness, or died while resolving the drought.
In a world where LWY 2.0 meets JL 2.0, this is very important: the time loop would most likely continue to exist. LWY, even without JY’s influence, would most likely still fall in love with JL and sacrifice herself to save him.
WSG might be all powerful, but remember that the WSG we saw only came into the timeline at the end. The event in which JL went to kill the Fox Queen occurred after the Flood Dragon massacre. WSG 2.0 would still be missing at that point. When JL went there to kill the fox queen, it was after the Flood Dragon massacre. WSG still would grow up not to trust the Shilin Sect and still hates the dragon, just as he did when we first met him in Episode 1.
This also means WWY and all the other foxes would literally have no memories of LWY, because JY would not yet have had the time to manipulate all of their memories. So to everyone in this timeline, LWY simply would not be a person they know or remember.
That not how I look at the ending at all, yes it might be "HE" in a sense they are together. But they aren't…
" restore her memories." Not possible, there is nothing to restore. Cause it never happened, there is nothing to restore. LWY Ji Ling save is technically a "baby" who never went through anything that LWY did episode 1-28
"Make her fall in love with him again," yes, that's what happened with them at the end. I know it has an open ending for some because there are questions: does Ji Ling have power, does he remember?
Today I continue watching this drama because my niece want to watch it. While Watching the ending of Rebirth again…
The ending isn’t the only problem with Rebirth is how they got there.
But again, just like people can interpret the ending and come to their own conclusions, people can watch the entire show and come to their own conclusions as well.
And not just people here, but a majority of people in CN also expressed similar opinions about Rebirth.
Like you point out sure the ending scene can come full circle for Yan Xun and Zhuge Yue.... Yes, for those who may know what happened in PA, maybe. Everyone else is like, " What just happened? And this is a problem with Rebirth: they didn't build anything up for Yan Xun and Zhuge Yue, because most of what happens between them happens in PA.
Even if they only saw rebirth and never watched PA, from what was shown in Rebirth, with a brief flashback between Yan Xun and Zhuge Yue, I'm sorry, that is not enough to show they had a strong bond.
It was a delight to watch, though at the end, i didn't like the way they made the HE with the first couple, I…
That not how I look at the ending at all, yes it might be "HE" in a sense they are together.
But they aren't really,
If you look at it from Ji Ling perspective, yes this is LWY, but it not his A'Wu. His A'Wu who when back in time and sever her tail to give him hope, the A'Wu that when to Shilin Sect and almost die, the A'Wu that when through countless time loop actually already die. The moment Ji Ling went back in time, his action basically did not just kill his A'Wu; it essentially erased her from existing, as LWY would never have gotten through what she did from episode 1-28.
What Ji Can told him did come true, for him to live LWY did die.
NOW if you look at the ending from a theme perspective.
It is a happy ending for both Ji Ling and LWY, Ji Ling is no longer burden with the responsibility of being the savior a "god" for people to look up to. This is why a Dragon Deity was needed in the first place. As for LWY even though she doesn't know it, she is free from being created and manipulated all her life. Their love even though was real, but it was brought together by Ji Ling Loneliness and JY obessesion with power.
Now, in the new/same timeline or world (this doesn't really matter), they are reunited and most likely will fall in love again without any of the negative influence.
They are finally free of these burden and Ji Ling can go back to living as the carefree fox he once was, and LWY also get her wish ( Even though she doesn't know cause she never when through all the event of episode 1-28).
Nothing about this is forced, the moment time travel and time loop was invoked there were ultimately only a few outcome. They need to untied the loop and this is one way to do it.
that interesting, so from what you watch so far... you mind sharing what the story is about ?
that fine, but you were interested enough to leave the comments here in the first place... sorry maybe next time I wont reply to a public comments section.
And it's not just the ending, it largely has to do with the script and the build-up.
If you really want to know how I feel about it

"they made it meaningless after all that struggle. Who cares if a new JL and LWY have a normal romance story, I don't"
It might be meaningless to you and skizlock, but it doesn't mean it's meaningless to everyone.
Maybe skizlock want the show to directly tell you what happens, and that's fine, but this does not make it any less meaningful
We can agree to disagree on this specific point, but timeline issues that we cannot

nvm, you are just being dense just to be dense
By not pretending to be on a high horse
From our pov that would also seem like he is sleeping

And to that point you still havent.... the only take away I got from this is you "watch" it and literally skip forward every 10 second.
