The story and writing have been excellently executed. The nightmares Ye Li had at the beginning, when we first met her, were already interesting and a unique way to start the drama. But knowing all we know now, it was heartbreaking to know what Ye Li had been through.
The setup was both subtle and obvious to some from the first five episodes with Lishan and Qingshuang. It honestly added to the mystery of Ye Li's story, and we finally get the payoff in episode 30 when Mo Xiuyao confronts Li Feibai. MXY will finally learn what we, as the audience, already know, and in episode 31, it will be his turn to help Ye Li heal.
It is very poetic that he will be at Lishan to help her through this, mirroring how she entered his life at Ding Manor.

Because it fail greatly on Chu Qiao characterization and story. She remains the same character she was in PA... which is not how it's supposed to be.
Which again is not the fault of Rebirth, but making it almost a standalone drama kinda ruined the continuity of Chu Qiao Story.
If you're curious what I mean by Chu Qiao's story, I mean her journey in the novel. I know it is an adaptation, but unlike other adaptations, what happens in PA and Rebirth follows the novel very closely, minus the ice power in PA and voodoo magic in Rebirth
Maybe I've been watching TOO many C-Drama, watching this reminds me of all the K-Drama tropes that make a K-Drama a K-Drama, but it's also makes it endearing 😂

If they don't adapt one of the best moments in Season 1, this will be a let-down for me.
The color palette choice is a great touch; it matches the darker theme/tone of the Longquan Town arc
But sometimes less is more.

The drama actually did him the best out of everyone including Chu Zhao, to cater to the people that really need CPs in their drama.
When she talking to Senior Fei Bai in episode 5, just look at his reaction.
it clearly show you something is wrong with Ye Li, and if anything it should tell you she an unreliable narrator.
