The moment in episode 3 really does lack emotional depth. between Chu Zhao and A Jiu...
Like, don't get me wrong, it serves a purpose of showcasing the "romance" and "yearning" between the 2 lead.
But in the context of what was shown in the first 2 episodes... they barely had time to interact. She was literally in a life-threatening situation... got saved... became a grand princess.
Which led me to maybe speeding through some of the setup in the novel, maybe it wasn't a good idea.
So far it's entertaining.FL's transformation isn't convincing because in her previous life she didn't seem like…
She has 10 years of knowledge of everything that happens compared to DY, XYF, and XX.
It actually how it was portray in the early chapters of the novel as well.... But the novel included more detail.... IT ALSO help that there a 10 Years gap ! When she dies in the novel and when she is reborn. I.e., she was reborn at the age of 13.
I don't think the drama pulls that off well. but when she is rebirth into her much younger self...she is wise and smart beyond her age and almost everyone who interacted with her is surprised by how smart and cunning she is. She is also fearless and unafraid of anything or anyone, cause she has already died once.
hi, so fl was married to someone in her past and get back!? and want revenge!? and is ml also got back or only…
Yeah to Xiao Xun, episode 1 basically recapped it.. the novel start with her already rebirth....and throughout the first part of the novel you get basically flashback of her first life from her POV.
They cut scenes to scenes too much. This drama shows the 24 episodes should never become the norm
yeah... I get that as well it 392 chapter condense into 24 episode.... which is just crazy... Princess Agent had 297 chapters and they have 2 Drama for it
As fun as it was watching the Trio interact and the splendid fight choreography, for a mystery and investigative drama focus...
The mystery was really obvious.
He Bo...Evil scheming guy who got things for young girls... shocker, he ended up running a sex trafficking ring.
Hu Xiao Chen turned out to be Dong Jun.... wasn't that shocking either.
Even with Si Ming... they try to misdirect us by making him the county governor... but like, we already see Si Ming multiple times before this... so we know it's not him.
How the drama unfolded... we honestly knew how it was gonna go and just ended up waiting for the lead to figure it out.
If this ever gets a season 2... I hope they managed that better.
..... we're getting flashbacks to things that happened in the first episode... In episode 2, like the people who edited this, do they think we have the memory of a goldfish?
It kinda funny that Mu Qing Yan just kinda got lost in Generation to Generation and somehow ended up in the desert... with literally the same hairstyle π
She literally die and reborn....
But it does help if you have some knowledge of the source myth behind some of the thing in the show though
But LWY has been through it countless times by now, and this is basically foreshadowing what will happen to us.
The dialogue is really about how hard she's tried so far; she can't prevent Ji Ling from dying.
Or the really obvious one, just talking about Han Ba
Also, its symbolism is clear: the moon theme is prominent in the show, and the above dialogue could allude to the story of Chang'er as well.
TL;DR: a pair of lovers separated by life and death or some distance that cannot be crossed.

It almost like the script writer watch that drama and was like can you run it back same hair style and unhinged attituded
And CDL wow, her character is so different from her VoS one. Great to see her pulling it off... but the dub voice is throwing me off so much π
But from what I read they are condensing a lot of thing.
