The world without LWY and JL will be like this according to ending1. After JL died, Li Jie born then come to Shilin…
I mean, his theory is fine, but not without its flaws.
You are right to point out it doesn't follow the OG Story, even I don't try to claim that.
cause the problem you run into is that the fox queen is dead, and the fragment is no longer in the oracle stone. We don't know how many fragments are left.
Did all 81 fragment was reduce to 3 by 50 years ago? We don't know. If so, the last one is in WSG. After what Future Ji Ling did
We know JY messes with the oracle stone for some of those prophecies, so a world where the stone might not be infected could have resulted in wildly different events.
Since JY isn't around to order the butterfly demon and Ji Ling is no longer around, that obsession would not have existed, so he might not have meddled with any event
So the Star Stone Illusion arc might not even happen the way it did without the butterfly demon
Same here. It's like you already know the end. So why would you go through the hard way. You can easily change…
Yes that sentiment is true, but if you really look from Ji Ling and LWY perspective, what they when through the journey.
It was never something they wanted. Both where put in the position that they never choose to be. Ji Ling being shackle by being Long Shen, And JWY being created for one purpose get close to Ji Ling and be YJ tools
The journey might gave us a powerful love story fill with sacrifice, love, high and low moment.
But as Ji Can ask LWY, " Will you go back in time, to save your loved one?"
LWY obviously gave us her answer, but so did Ji Ling.
They would do WHATEVER IT TAKE, to make sure the other one is alive. I don't think they would not trade their memories for it
" I cannot even point out plot holes because there are plot holes inside plot holes."If you can't point…
I appreciated you telling me this, but somehow you also fail to tell me anything.
I understand you feel it is complex and whatnot... also, I don't really care if you watch Dramas for 15 years, as it is some indicator for anything?
I simply ask you a question if you find the plot holes complex and difficult can you point them out ? So we can talk about it?
If you don't want to, that's fine. But so far, I have learned nothing about why the drama makes you feel this way. Because you literally have not mentioned anything that happened in the drama. beside " complex plots with everything from time travel to alternate universes " which again doesnt tell me a whole lot
Like, I'm super curious about "So much happened and some subplots conflicted with previous subplots." Which one?
why don't they remember ji ling? bc if there's no ji ling as long shen, then there'd be no li jie, no wu shiguang…
I dont get what you are trying to say ? yes she was created but she didnt go through anything from episode 1-25 though. If she was remove from the timeline the moment she was created
If she was created and remove right away.... this basically to everyone viewpoint she never existed beside Ji Ling
why don't they remember ji ling? bc if there's no ji ling as long shen, then there'd be no li jie, no wu shiguang…
The conclusion that I came up with to resolve this is
Ji Ling never made it out of that cave with A'Wu, A world where LWY never existed, to go through all the events up to episode 25, where she goes back in time to tell Ji Ling not to cry, don't be sad, I'll always be with you.
His loneliness won, and he took his own life.
Ji Ling did existed but he did not live past that point, this would explain Li Jie and WSG as both where created when Ji Ling was actually still happy.
We can tell from the flashback when he was sitting on Chi Wen, when he told him what he needed to do, and from the flashback with Ji Ling and old YWH. He was still talking in Ji Ling's voice, not Long Shen's yet.
What reaffirms this to me is that Li Jie in the new timeline never meets Ji Ling. In the last moment, we see that Li Jie remembers the voice calling him to find them. But he doesn't recognize the voice or the person's name.
Li Jie said in episode 27 that he had understood who he was. Yet by the end, we saw him questioning his identity…
I agree with you, but here another way to look at it
At the end of 27, he seems happier because he has come to terms with his obsession with protecting Ji Ling, even though he cannot be there for Ji Ling anymore, since it would take thousands of years for him to be reborn. That's why his line to WSG to tell Ji Ling he has finally figured out who he is
But at 29, that obsession lingered; in the new timeline, he actually didn't recognize the voice calling for him. This indicated that he never met Ji Ling in this timeline. This shows that, although it is an obsession, it seems to transcend time.
You can say it's his obsession, but I think it's more the love between the two that transcends time, and not the obsession. As we see time and time again, love and obsession are two sides of the coin in the show.
As to how, your guess is good as mine... cause it was never explically shown
But we know it stil exist cause WWY and the fox sister talk about a new prophecy
Too much effort to wear that for a fight scene 😭

But at the same time these were also your words
"but that I would not recommend or think of re-watching."
But maybe I'm wrong and you will and I will finally know about the above point I mention
I understand you feel it is complex and whatnot... also, I don't really care if you watch Dramas for 15 years, as it is some indicator for anything?

It’s interesting because for YWH (Evil Butterfly version), even though the goal of removing loneliness from Ji Ling is a good thing,
it still can be twisted into something bad/evil.
If you can't point them out... how are you so sure they are plot holes?
