Awful
This was a huge disappointment. I am a fan of kdrama but this one misses the Mark on so many levels. It started off promising but than spiraled down into a cesspool of sordidness. Generally kdramas give you something to think about in terms of relationships and challenges. This was so one dimensional. The actors could have phoned their lines in. The crowning point was the daughter of the professor. The attempt to make wrong right failed completely. The only characters I empathizedwith are the wives. Unfortunately their roles were superseded by the husbands and their mistresses. I have seen stories dealing with cheating done much better and in a shorter period of time. This was literally an insult to the sanctity of marriage and to the Korean culture. Was this review helpful to you?
A Masterpiece
Every once in awhile something comes along that touches your heart and tugs at everyemotion. This is it for me. I thought of my dear
mother dying on the operating table and our
last words, I thought of my best friend dying
of terminal cancer at 35 and of being summoned
to the hospital as they made attempt after
attempt to bring my dearest cousin back to life. Finally, I just said stop...no more. The acting is
superb, the music hauntingly beautiful. Thanks to all the writers and anyone involved in this
project. I can only hope for a second season.

Awful
I wanted to like this because ofPerth, Mild and some of the other
cast members but the storyline
became stale and once Jenna and
Jon started having feelings for
each other it became cringey. The best parts to me were the ones
without Jon and Jenna together. From the beginning I found her
character narcissistic and overbearing. So we are to believe that someone who bullied you and
humiliated you when you were fat
and supposedly ugly now becomes
your love interest years later. Are
we supposed to congratulate her
because she motivated you to lose
weight. How shallow? Also, she was
after the uncle and that didn’t pan
out so the nephew becomes fair
game. Exactly what was the message? It has to be more than the
older woman younger man trope.
Perth and the actress playing Jenna
didn’t even match. She looked like
she was robbing the cradle. Nope
nope nope. Not entertaining or
interesting and I love Perth. He’s a
really good actor but he was wasted
in this.

Hidden Gem
I am so glad I stumbled upon this hidden gem. It was great seeing all my favorite bl couples playing a straight character. It was funny but with the right balance of drama infused into real life situations. Seeing them grow and evolve as friends was refreshing. I also liked how the support characters were incorporated into the main story. The focus was on the six males and their phobias. The music was not overbearing. It reminded me that having friends is an asset. Each resident has something he needs to deal with and seeing how they help each other is what makes this series so good. I also like how the female characters are used.,They seem real and do not overstay their welcome. These guys are really good actors. Even though I knew who the bl couples were I completely forgot about that. I can’t wait to see each one in other projects. Thanks for a great series. Was this review helpful to you?
Thumbs Up
Loved it! From beginning to end it presented each couple and wrapped things up nicely. I’m glad it was only five episodes. No intrusive third parties. I really like how they handled the relationships between the gay couples and their heterosexual friends. I also found the appearance of the “dark skinned” actress to be very positive. I’ve seen her in other works and I have not found her to be negative or demeaning. Overall I really enjoyed. The music was okay and I could see the actors seemed more comfortable in their roles. Was this review helpful to you?
Entertaining
This is one of the most entertains BLs. The story line is not complex but deals with issues facing members of the gay community. It also deals with the issue of a straight person becoming attracted to a gay person. I think the series handles thesedelicate topics in a very respectful way. There are some behavior that is questionable but at the same time very realistic. The focus was on Ae and Pete but the side couples were appealing too. I do question the inclusion of the female student who has a crush on Ae. She’s in college but doesn’t seem to have a clue about Ae and Pete. I just hope BLs will not feel obligated to include a
lovesick female . I have no problem with having females but show them as intelligent and not so needy. Kudos to the writers and the entire
production team.

Excellent Perspective
I really don’t like movies about cheating but I think the writer did an excellent job in focusing on the impact cheating has on ones life instead of taking the usual route and focusing on the act. I also liked the way the wife is portrayed. There was realism in how she evolves and takes back her life. I was also pleased that the other woman was not your usual portrayed young sexy vixen. I think that gave even more insight into the husband’s flaws and weaknesses. And God bless the husband’s mother and his business partner. Their reaction to learning of his cheating was stellar. I have read where some did not like the ending. For me, it was again realistic. Divorce does not mean the end of love or has to be a continuation of conflict. It was slow paced and I felt could have been told in maybe 14 episodes. Someone said don’t watch this if you want to get married. I disagree. If you are thinking of getting married watch this and think about what you should or shouldn’t do when you get married. Was this review helpful to you?
Interesting
I actually liked this bl. It presents a different perspective. People seem to fantasize and want to create real relationships. I have often wondered about the personal pressure the actors have to endure. It’s a job people. It’s called acting. For the most part these are young teens and young adults. They have their whole lives ahead and hopefully will not be typecast. What the movie shows is how things can get out of hand and cause personal pain.If all they have is a close special friendship that should be enough. Don’t push people to be what they aren’t.Was this review helpful to you?
Love It
I really enjoyed it. Seeing some of my favorite bl actors is always a treat. The storyline is realistic and seeing the couples work out their problems is a real plus. This series is short and sweet. Mean and Wish are so cute together. In fact all the couples complement each other. These actors all deserve to be main characters. I am an international fan and probably one of their oldest fans too but I find their plots very natural and helping to address the social stigma which still exists. The music was also nice and sweet. Was this review helpful to you?
Cute
Personally I just love Mean and Plan so I support any project they happen to be in together I think they have great chemistry together. This was short and sweet. Please give us more Mean and Plan. I also like Art and the other bl actors. The music was soft and appropriate to the overall tone. It’s good to see Mean play someone who is kind and more loving. I was so glad to see a gay character own his identity and stand by his man. Plan also plays a more mature adult. There is more focus on these two growing together as a couple. I liked it. I wish there would have been at least four parts but this was a good showcase for the two. I got the main theme and I’m glad they didn’t waste a lot of time on that silly female even though there are a lot of females out there like her.Was this review helpful to you?
Entertaining
If you just want to watch something that is totally implausible but entertaining this is the series for you. Also I enjoyed seeing these actors in the beginning of their careers. Looking at the fact that this was made in 2009 and the start of kdrama I can appreciate it. Yes the lead female drives me crazy with her naive ness but in high school girls act silly especially around handsome popular boys. So if you put everything in perspective it has its charm. The idea of these guys being together since kdg is not so far fetched either. So if you want to see where kdrama got it’s start this is a good place to start. I just rewatched it and understand it’s appeal even more. Each of the f4 has a backstory. I really found the other three members and their stories added to the whole series. The only scenes I skipped were the ones with the fiancé. The idea of a wealthy heiress being so desperate just didn’t sit well with me. Her holding on to the necklace and pretending to be a friend did not add to the story so I skipped most of those scenes. Was this review helpful to you?
Sweet but frustrating at times
I love Kdramas and I am trying my best to love this one. My biggest problem is with the Fl. Next to the ML she looks old and dowdy most of the time. I decided to rewatch this drama and the second time around I found myself having a change of heart. I even changed my initial scoring.. The males actors are all a treat to watch . The two kids actually steal the movie. I wanted to learn more about the boy and his relationship with his father. I wanted to know who was the girls father. I don’t know why Asian women are usually depicted as being so pitiful. They are either overly aggressive or indecisive. The storyline is not unique. However the excuse given for hiding the father’s identity just is not convincing. It was really painful to watch. But as I started to make more attention I was drawn into how people and events affect our lives. Families do keep secrets. Some people never get over their first love. Life happens. As I said I liked the parts best with the male leads and the kids. The grandmother was great too. I do not find loud screaming females entertaining. The parts where the Ml was not yelling were really good. I say give this a chance.. You may be pleasantly surprised like I was.Was this review helpful to you?
Love Fluke Natouch
I started watching and so far it’s been interesting. I love Fluke Natouch . He is an awesome actor. I am also glad to see the other Fluke too. They both have such good chemistry together. There are other side couples which seem to fit with the title . I find them intriguing but I hope to see more of the two main characters. I am also glad to see some of the same actors from the first series. The music in Ep 4 is nice . I am wondering how much COVID-19 affected the total production. That said I applaud their efforts under trying circumstances. Was this review helpful to you?
Interesting
I thought this was overall a good episode. There was one scene that I found a little unnerving but I still like the chemistry of our two couples. Also I didn’t find the girl ships as intrusive. As long as they keep the crazy females out of the way I’m ok. My main interest is the development of the bl couples. There was a good balance between the two couples and we see how strong the bond is between the three roommates. Also we got some insight into the family dynamics of the stepbrothers. The only concern I have is bl writers have used this stepbrother relationship too many times. It’s beginning to be boring and too predictable. While it’s not incest technically it can feel eerie especially if they have lived in the same household for a number of years and essentially grew up together. Was this review helpful to you?

Exhilarating!
This has got to be one of the best kdramas ever. The acting, the directing, the music...it has been such an awesome experience. There have been so many highs and lows. Watching Vincenzo go from sorrowful son to cold killer just shows the skillful acting abilities of this actor. As always the ending of ep 17 has left me gasping for air. Of course there are not enough words to describe the supporting cast. Every one has played their role to perfection. Even the music is noteworthy. There are only 3 episodes left and of course we are hoping to see Vincenzo and his crew step off in style. All I can say is wow wow wow….I loved it. It’s a dark comedy so when it was dark it was really dark but I think that is part of the overall appeal. I laughed, I cried , I cringed and got angry. It was likeriding a rollercoaster. Personally I never liked roller coasters but this was one ride I fully enjoyed. Kudos to the ml who I adore and to the entire production team.
