The reality is that doramas are generally produced for a Japanese audience living in Japan so certain aspects that we associate with Asian dramas from other countries are not focused on in doramas. From what I've seen fashion is highlighted only when it is actually part of the plot or a high school/ college setting , otherwise it's just normal clothes.

To be fair, she had sobered up (this is why she knew who he was as soon as he showed up at her company). He did bring her to the hotel room to sleep it off ( she had blacked out) and once she was awake he got ready to leave but then she stops him saying she doesn't want to be alone just yet even though she has no worth as a woman. It's the old "even though I'm not worthy of you, would please embrace me if only for tonight' trope from mills & boon, manga ,web novel, etc. In real life , this is a perfect recipe for a crimetv episode. But yeah the only thing I'm rooting for is for her to get some serious therapy . It befuddles me that she believes that she can love a baby when she doesn't even love herself.

Sidenote: In the previous ep, I was worried that Akkun was gonna erase TakeChan after seeing him toss that subordinate but now I realize he was tying u loose ends. Even SatomeChan looked shaken up by his actions.

During 'that' scene in episode 7, the way Do Young couldn't keep his glee from showing on his face The handshake in the rain after the dance of frenzy in the shipping container etc. There were too many to list 'em all here.

I actually enjoyed this. It was calm and consistent. I really appreciated the steady characterization of both leads, Cheng Ge didn't become wimpy or obsessed with love once her and Shi Yu were together. Shi Yu has always had a gentle personality and he remained so stepping back to allow Cheng Ge do what she's best at. Literally, reminds me of those chill couples where the no one knows why they're together when they seem to be complete opposites and don't fit traditional roles. If you're tired of a White Knight in shining armor trope or want a strong FL that stays strong then this is for you.
It says 2025 here but in the drama it's showing 2022 are they different dramas with the same name?
It's the same drama, the license was given in 2022. Because of the tight state control and supervision of dramas in mainland, it is very normal for dramas to be aired several months or sometimes even years after they've been approved for airing due to having to rewrite script, re-edit or even refilming of scenes to meet the recs and stay approved.
I watched this while it was airing and it was a chore. I had some expectations going in because it was 2025 and it's a dark subject matter and not one that is often fleshed out in CDramas. That said, character development and logical reasoning were not included in this drama package (watch it and you'll see). As I mustered my way through the episodes something kept nagging me.. why does this feel like a male narrative masquerading as a female one?
I was more interested in the theme song than anything else. This was a mash of several tropes - childhood friends, unrequited love , cohabitation, sweet grandma as the only emotional support, etc. Too bad I never found out the title of the song.
watched this fast and furiously; fwd after ep 10 and ended up watching alternate episodes and didn't miss a thing. FL should never came down the mountain in the first place. No blooming takes place here.
It is a HE if anyone's wondering. It's definitely a 7/10. watched it while I meal prepped for the week and it kept me entertained. The characters weren't fully developed but they were pretty consistent when compared to other mini dramas in the same genre. The ending wasn't stellar but it was a HE, so I guess the end matters more than the means.

The ending was perfectly ironic in that she spends the last 15 years of her life chained to the memory of her love for ZiMu only to have her long awaited 'freedom' (couldn't find a more appropriate word) offered to her in a cup by someone with ZiMu's face and his closest next of kin. It's almost too poetic. A second season would only ruin the momentum they built in this season. But, business wise a second season is a smart move.
