I think the show lost focus on who they wanted us to root for. It was supposed to be a rom-com, but the unundertones…
- Way too much MinJu ... let it go for a bit for any supposed "rom-com" elements, but it just got pathetic watching a woman continually chase after someone who didn't even have the guts to stand up for himself or his relationship. He was taken and uninterested, but continued to let MinJu hang on him and pull him around. Neither one of them were very self-aware.
- Way too much JiHun if YunJae was never going to feel the same way for JiHun that he felt for JiEun.
- Way too much parental guilt with both sets of parents if they weren't actually going to deal with anything. With JiEun's parents, the mother always looked guilty and heartbroken, which definitely played a huge part in how JiEun dealt with things. Had her mother been more supportive and less gloomy then we could have definitely seen more of the "rom-com" they wanted us to see. And YunJae's mother ... don't get me started on her drama queen act when she overheard the technically-true-but-not-actually news about YunJae and JiHun being together. It became all about her as she crushed the soul of not only her son but JiEun/JiHun too. So selfish.
- Way too little of JiEun and her journey. We got confused and sad JiEun, and then perky JiEun when she "came back". But we didn't really get much of the story from her side, and they waited until the very end for her to really make any real declaration on what she wanted. We could guess, of course. But since she spent 80% (or more) of the series at JiHun ... her bit at the end seemed like too little, too late. We needed more depth when she was in her female form. Instead we got cutsy. Most of the character depth came when she was JiHun.

I have read one of the books and Knights mother is the current wife. Pers mother was the first wife ( divorced)…
Wondering if it’s a major/minor wife situation … with Per’s mother being the Major (1st, legal wife) and Knight’s mother being the Minor (legal protection similar to a wife, similar to the concubine status in the past.) I’ve seen that in a couple modern Thai dramas.

Per's mother is the one beside the father in public and living in the same house as Knight while Knight's mother is in the back of the crowd at the play. Why would Per's mother be living in the same house with her ex husband and his new family?

So, Knight and Per are half-brothers, with the same father, who I think isn't aware of the history between Knight…
Per's mother hired someone to follow the boys .... and the investigator brought details and pics in episode 5. It was why people were theorizing about Per and Knight being related because they used the same exterior shots for each of their houses

I thought Kan was Mild’s cousin.
I don't remember a mention of that but at the rate they are springing additional family ties on us, I wouldn't be surprised if they are related.

this "explanation" got stretched way to much and unnecessarily.. there were so many opportunities where…
That guy is either a brother or a cousin. He says brother and "oldest grandson of the family" .... but cousins often call themselves brothers too. The fact that his name is Peem instead of something that matches with Mud and Mild tells me he's a cousin.

wondering if it's a step-sibling things ... their parent's remarried. It's atleast a half-sibling situation since…
right …seems like a distraction so they don’t have to actually deal with the awful plot point they dropped.

So they hint at the explanation but don't tell us? And Mild obviously still likes him but I'm not understanding…

Light on the comments .... so I'm guessing many dropped this after last week or were waiting to check comments before starting it this week. It's already been 3 hours since ep 6 aired and it's been relatively quiet since. I wonder if the studio/production teams are rethinking their plan for this one after the last week of reactions?

So it is like in the novel jeez it is 2025 people. And Long Lee is a creep for accepting the role.
I can't imagine what any of these actors thought when choosing this series. No one pushed back on their own dialogue and reactions to this plotpoint?

im absolutely disgusted with the way this has played out. The gaslighting from Mild's family. Oh it happened for…
completely floored. I was willing to give it a chance because of the people hoping that the series would deviate from how it happened in the book .... but this was just awful from the first minute until the last.

Wow .... almost speechless. Even if it isn't as bad as we are expected to believe (and we still don't know at the end of the episode) ... the fact that Knight knows what Mild thinks happened and he still has the nerve to crowd into Mild's space and touch/grab/hug/kiss him after being told to leave him alone!! Really? They think that girlfriend drama with the other couple and a random influx of surprise siblings we didn't know about was going to gloss all this over???

And the overly romantic montages with music through the whole thing. Mild folding like cheap card table like the fight was over eating the last snack instead of something much more serious??? I don't even know what the show runners expect from us right now.

It doesn't even matter what the "true" story is (which we still haven't gotten at 40 minutes in) .... Knight is out of line ... everyone is out of line. And Mild just has to take it all and is expected to forgive like nothing happened just because Knight "really likes him".

grrrr ... the amount of victim blaming is awful. Nothing is this ep tells me that Mild has real friends who actually care about him. And the free pass Knight is getting ... ugh ... and we haven't even gotten a real answer about what happened. It's all "move on" and "make sure to eat your snacks".

Besides if she really turned back to female in the recent episode just because yoonjae didn't break up with her…
That's the feel I get. He tolerates. And he thinks of JiHun like a buddy. I don't see that changing drastically in these final two episodes when he's already had 10 episodes to warm up to the idea.

Isn't the whole point of this drama to drop the message "your partner should love you the way you are"?…
That's my problem with it as well. We don't have a clear passage of time, but we can reasonably assume it's been months. Still in the "shock" period, maybe, but they should have had some serious talks and progress by now.

I just want Yun Jae to pull out of MinJu's grip every time she grabs him. If he sees her coming, he should back…
It might not matter to her, but I think it would matter a lot to JiEun/JiHun and to the viewers. That is a major character issue that I'm having a problem with. I'm definitely annoyed and angry at her for being so awful. I don't see her as confidently pursuing what she wants. I see it as being pathetic and/or narcissistic and I really don't like her. But he doesn't even put up the bare minimum of resistance where she's concerned and that feels like a huge thing, especially when his relationship with JiEun/JiHun is so complicated.

I'm fine with the premise. I just think they have miscalculated some of the plot points.

I don't know what the end game is. What does an HEA for them even look like? And if the major assumption is correct and she returns to her female form in the finale, how are we to believe that it's her final form? It seems like her grandmother and great grandmother switched once, from female to male. Her mother switched twice, from female to male to female again. I've lost count with how many times JiEun has switched. Which means, at the very least, whoever she ends up with is going to need to be okay with the possibility of her being in her male form part of the time.

And she can't be expected to be happy living without physical affection from her boyfriend/husband during that time.

Then the latest tidbit ... that the grandmother didn't change until she was 40 ... means that JiEun's sister could still change at some point. Interesting storyline she has, since it's okay if not everyone ends up matched up at the end. But I'm wondering why we haven't heard more about the possibilty of her changing.

YunJae makes me mad because he doesn't resist or avoid MinJu's grabby hands. Even if he doesn't want to cause a stir on his own behalf, he should do it on behalf of JiEun/JiHun (them). We know he knows it's wrong and that he's hurting them because when this happens in from of them, YunJae's eyes will immediately look to them and sees their reaction ... then he'll eventually pull away from MinJu. He needs to pull away first ... or better yet, back away when she goes for him.

Also ... Kim JiEun and Kim JiHun sound almost identical. Seems almost given that they would be related if they show up in the same small group. How did they not set up the false story that the 2 of them are siblings/twins or cousins in the very beginning so they didn't have to freak out anytime people got curious about why YunJae was so cozy with JiHun? Would easily explain why either version of them were at the apartment at any given time.
