There are 2 books in this series ... anyone know if what we just saw in the show is how it went in the book(s) ... or did the show try to make it more shocking? And how much of the books were covered in the show ... the entire first book?
Right!! They want us to believe that there are only 3 bedrooms in that place. And even if that's all they have ... the parents decide to displace the teenage sister to sleep in the oversized hallway instead of having the two college-aged boys share a room?? Even if they set her up in the livingroom/den .... just seems weird. They said Nu needed his "privacy" as the guest. But he'd have all the privacy he needed if he was still in his own dorm room. Or even if he stayed with Sun in Sun's dorm room.
And why is Nu letting Chain touch him at all? He never promised anything, he already has a boyfriend, and he knows Chain has hopes for more. He needs to keep out of arms length and start saying no. Sun should have asked questions before storming off ... but Nu should be more self aware.
I'm guessing the reason Nu (and Sun) can't stay in their own dorms once Nu's father leaves so they have an opportunity to show how the college and high school storylines are connected??? Otherwise ... makes no sense why Sun's sister has to give up her room.
Surprised to see that it's only 11 eps instead of 12, with a gap week on the 13th before Memoir Of Rati starts on the 20th. Is there a Thai holiday or a chance for a STGD bonus ep?
Why is North washing clothes in the bathtub? There are no washing machines in Thailand?
I saw it more as what North was used to. They didn't have much growing up so he probably is more used to washing by hand. (His mom's house in the series makes them look better off than how the book describes how North grew up, especially after his father died.) So it's probably a mix of habit and care, and the need to do something while he worried.
needed a little more on why the villain was so awful. Had to have been more than what we saw. Liked the leads … they did well with the time they had but would have liked to see more to their overall story.
Is this one and the one titled "before" the same thing? Kinda seems like it.
Found it .... The special is their introduction (ep 0) ... and the "before" special is more of an episode that was midway in the full series "before" they got together.
Really enjoyed these episodes. It included many everyday, casual things that we never get to see in the full series with everything else going on. Seeing the growing pains as they work out living together is a huge part of their story. I was surprised that it literally was "just them" in the specials, I was expecting a bit of interaction with the other cast, but aside from an IG post of HillTer and the mention of Arthit, Jo and North really were in their own world. Happy for every second, and am looking forward to the official start of Season 2.
And the argument was about them moving in together. If it was about how it was suggested or the timing ... then,…
I get that … but the conversation had to start somewhere. they were celebrating their 1 year anniversary a day or two later. You’d think they would be able to talk about these things in a general way. I get that maybe Min Jun wasn’t in the head space to hear it right then. or maybe that Jin Hwan could have suggested it in a different way. But my whole point is that the bonus ep was already so short. Did they really need another argument?
A little confused about this bonus after the (assumed) engagement/wedding shoot at the end of the finale episode…
And the argument was about them moving in together. If it was about how it was suggested or the timing ... then, ok ... but I still find it weird that they took up so much of the limited run-time for something that should have been an expected event by this point in their (assumed) commitment point.
A little confused about this bonus after the (assumed) engagement/wedding shoot at the end of the finale episode and them wearing the commitment/wedding rings. Why did we need to start this out with an argument? It was only 15 min of show (plus some BTS at the end).
I wish the studio and all the actors well .... but this short series needed to be longer to full express what they wanted to portray. Rough transitions, no clear definition of how much time had passed, rushed emotional arc, and no believable remorse from Ice for scamming/stealing from Frame and all the other previous partners.
