This drama has so many great osts, those who finish the drama will totally get the meaning of the opening and endings, as well as the accompanied music in the different scenes. Just want to say all the osts are closely associated with the characters as a result they make the scenes even more emotional as we watched the characters struggle with their own fates. Sometime the music does get a bit loud though. This is a character driven drama and i think it's rare for a drama to have such a large casts and for even support characters to be so well written that i can't say i hate any of the characters. They all have their own reasons to make the choice they do. Even the hengdao sect and the yu clan whom we consider as the bad guys or zhao yan's twin brother maiming.

Can't wait to see this ep of hi6 with xukai and esther ^^

I put my comments in spoilers, sorry if i spoiled this drama for you. I'm rewatching this drama and just commenting on things i missed the first time or something i thought was interesting. I thought i was the only one left in the comment section and everyone already move on to newer dramas since nobody else is commenting on this drama anymore.

In once upon a time in lingjian mountain and dance of the sky empire xukai was dressed up as a girl, he could pass for a girl ^^ Do you have a link for that edited photo ?

That scene when qi was eating noodle and crying after she realizes jinzhao will not come back really got to me. For qi she could act childish and be herself was because jinzhao was there to look over her, now that she loss him she realizes she has to grow up and can't relies on anyone but herself. For her to come to that realization really shows she has mature, jinzhao used to think qi needed him to look after her, but he also realizes qi has grown up and can look after herself in the end. At the end when qi made a wish to bring jinzhao back, she knows that she has to give up all her memories of him, but what about herself does everyone forget about her too? Mingxiu was reminiscing about her birthday celebration and in her memory both jinzhao and qi were there, so does that mean she still exist just she and jinzhao loss memories of each other only not everyone else since qi didn't exchange her life for jinzhao like bian luohuan did. That last scene between them when they bumped into each other and their jades touch, i wonder if the jades hold their memories of each other because jinzhao and qi look like they got their memories back when they keep looking back at each other and then both of them smile like they finally found each other again.

Mingxiu became blind when she tries to look into the future. in my rewatch it looks like her master eyes were also affected because he also look into the future when he helped save the zhengwu alliance.

That birthday party they threw for shifang i'm glad he finally has friends to celebrate with him, that kind of sad to hear his confession that he didn't have anyone else beside the sect leader and his one friend he made in the zhengwu alliance to celebrate his birthday. It will also be the last birthday they 'll celebrate with him. Shifang used to be timid and a coward, but he has change so much in a short time that even shuo xuan the girl he has a crush on also see his change. Watching this drama again and i still got emotional when i got to the part when shifang died and their group mourned for him. Both qi and jinzhao were really affected by his death. From my understanding kun doesn't cry but qi has cried many times ever since she absorb the qiyuen orbs and when she got separated with jinzhao and when shifang died. Her mother said she became more humans because she live with humans, zhu yu was wondering why qi also absorb the qiyuen orbs but didn't go mad, and that female servant of her said because zhuyu is lonely, so the reason qi wasn't affected by negative human emotion because she has jinzhao to accompany her.

This drama had haters from when it first air, so don't trust the rating. The ending could be consider an open ending but it's up to your interpretation whether you think it's happy or sad.

Watching this drama the whole way through makes me realizes there were many details i missed in my first time watched. The hengdao sect needs someone to deliver the unbinding spell of mist soul and the people who can do it has to be the people to whom the sea of clear sky has been in contact before, that means they need either shifang, mingxiu, zhao yan or xian qing to volunteer since jinzhao and qi are needed to deal with zhuyu. However they made a deal with maiming to keep zhao yan and xian qing from doing the mission because the one who volunteer will be put in danger, so it has to be either shifang or mingxiu. Maiming wrote two letters address to both shifang and mingxiu to deliver the unbinding spell by coming into contact with someone from the sea of clear sky, the unbinding of mist soul is qi's blood. Shifang volunteer to do it because he didn't want mingxiu to risk her life for the mission. He has grows so much since we first met him, he's not afraid of risking his life for his friends.

Does anyone who watched this drama know why ying xuwei got his injury? It wasn't natural, is it because he exchanged for the fake rehai key ring to trick zhuyu? The dragon pool can't create it can only make exchanges for something else of equal value. That's why he only have a short life span because he already made an exchange before, as later on when he wants to exchange his life to make amend for qi and jinzhao, it wasn't enough and need qi to make the exchange.

I consider it as horror if it deals with deaths and terrors. What would you call it if it's not consider a horror genre.

In an interview, he said it's different when he's filming for a drama, he will play the role and is not as scare when he's filming vs. doing a variety show since he's afraid of the dark compare to filming where there're lots of people around so he's not scare ^^

I also heard a rumor he will pair with zhao lusi in an upcoming drama. All these are still just rumors so who knows if it's true. I heard xukai got an offer for a new drama, but he is still hasn't make a decision whether he will take it.

There was a conversation shifang had with shu xuan and shifang was asking her if she think what they were doing was right and she told him the hengdao sect was willing to sacrifice humans to protect their little hole i assumed she means the mist soul. To her she only cares about the yu clan and if it means sacrificing humans than she doesn't care. That was when shifang realizes both of them have different pritorities and he finally gave up on his feeling for her.

I thought it was weird too, shen li just got their license to air but the rumor of its release date already came out. Has there been any dramas that got the release date as fast as shen li? Both abay and best choice ever got their license to air earlier but still haven't gotten an exact air date.

Why is someone keeps changing the cast lists order, where's mingxiu actress. Her character is much more important than that actor who barely has any screen times.

I have a theory that it's probably xukai's haters making lots of fake accounts to rate down the drama. Many of his dramas also got the same treatment most of them went down in rating in one day.
