Not exactly international fans taste are vary and also age specific. I discover xukai from story of yangxi palace and that is a real serious drama, maybe rom com and idol dramas are more popular with younger audiences but those audiences will also mature and become older and taste change. Xukai is the only actor that i can watch any drama he's in regardless of genre, my favorite genre is wuxia and i would really like for him to do a pure wuxia drama, but i will support him and watch any drama he's in. His next dramas i'm anticipating all three of them equally because my curiosity is killing me especially after such a long wait for them to air.

This is a very good drama. Why is its rating so low?
There was a dylan wang troll who came here to make trouble for this drama when it was aired insulting xukai because someone was making a comparison between this drama and another crime drama of dylan wang so it could be done by that person and their troll accounts. I made a comment that xukai dramas should be added .5 or more in rating everytime cause of haters and within a few hours this drama actually lost .5 rating so take it with a grain of salt but that how it arrive at this rating. Mdl rating is a joke so i stop minding it 😅

I didn't see anything wrong with his hands, it does resemble ai with the background but their picture look like them, i don't have a good impression of ai so i don't believe ai can create such a lifelike images of the both of them to be so beautiful like real life picture.

So many unnecessary scenes early on that bring nothing to the plot just to drag the series to 49 episodes.
It was an introduction to baijue and shangu so was only made for the drama, i heard in the novel the story started with houchi and qingmu with only flashback to the past. I felt the drama did it this way to make us care for baijue and shangu because they would be hated for what happens to qingmu and houchi and audiences would not care about them and blame them for everything that happens.
