I didn't find the romance bad in blood of youth, i thought it was enough without taking over the whole drama. I think it was the reason why it got so popular because it focuses more on bromance and friendship.

Same i also like fl centric dramas but i notice in lots of fl centric dramas if it concern romance they always have to put an sml that kind of ruin the whole show for me for example the legend or dance of the sky empire that why i'm starting to like dramas with dual leads like as beautiful as you or wonderland of love or ml centric dramas like once upon a time in lingian mountain or eight hundred where there's very little romance but it's so much more enjoyable and xukai has lots of screentimes ^^
