Not sure what the word spineless has to do with lini. Someone who went to the border as a child and became a warrior who fight for his country and doing what he likes without falling into other people's machination. I would call him a courageous young man, who could turn a bad childhood into a positive experience by becoming a humorous person who can make friends and gains their trust by his own conducts. Such a person is someone to be admire, who doesn't care about power or politics and only want to live a carefree life, someone who is royalty but is not afraid to face hardship or abandon a life of luxury because he despise the life he was living in the palace, as well as those who look down on his mother's lowly status.

I'm the same like you, I don't follow any actor/actress before I'm only a casual drama watcher, my first drama of his was story of yanxi palace, and it was just a coincidence that I watched two of his dramas back to back and became his fan ever since ^^

I don't like love triangle whether it's male or female. I like the relationship to be equal and fl to be as in love with ml as he's with her actually. But it's true as women we love ml to be the perfect lover I can't deny it lol, i really hate the toxic ml/sml, fl/sfl so I have a low tolerance for those trope and would like to avoid it if possible.

I saw some videos on YouTube with xukai and jingtian, they both looks so beautiful walking together on the red carpet in their outfits ^^

Their outfits for the tencent all stars night looks so matching like they're really royalty ^^

Not sure why you're bringing xukai into this discussion. Also complain about his dramas when I been watching many of his dramas and find they're to my taste and not bad as you claimed. This also accounts for taste. Also just watching the preview of this drama does gives me a few this drama is gear towards younger audience and might not appeal to older audience compare to alp which is my favorite xanxia. Also depends on the story, if the characters are young and they're playing by young actors then they're age appropriate, it's those who are older that play younger characters that are problematic since they're too old to play the characters. Anyway dramas are mean to enjoy, if it's not something you like just drop it.

Very good point I feel the same, that's why I like their relationship so much, it's only through hardships that you can truly test how strong their feelings for each other is ^^

Was rewatching on viki and someone comment that ml was just as manipulative for using fl to coerce her father to fight against the rebels with his army but no one said anything against him, but only complaining about fl. I think this is usually the case, fl is hated more because most of those who watch dramas are females. I didn't see anything wrong with what ml was doing and thought he was clever to blackmail her father in order to get his help. He's a commander and knows how to use tactics and tricks just the same as cuilin to get an advantage for his army. Ep 17 is so sweet when lini sang to cuilin and they exchange love tokens, I really like this drama for giving main leads so much screen times and highlight their relationship because it feels real and connect the audiences. I thought I like ep 10, but ep 17 is just as sweet, their relationship can be describes as sour and sweet is so true because one moment they're fighting with each other, the next moment they made up and are sweet to each other again lol ^^

His dramas are not as popular compared to those other actors/actresses. It could be just a popularity thing. Wang hedi gotten very popular after fairy and devil, so my guess it has to do with popularity. I'm not that concerned with it though since I never been concerned about popularity of a drama or actor I usually enjoy dramas for the storyline and I don't care who the actors/actresses are until I started to like xukai and follow his dramas.

I don't know that much about the vip star award and who should be getting it either, I know there're some people who gotten it and I assume it's because they're popular actors. Xukai got branded as tencent ambassador this year, and I don't know what's the difference between those two either.

We're talking about overseas fans and he has loyal fans for many years starting with story of yanxi palace. Sel might not done well in china market, but we don't know how it was received oversea just like falling into your smile and ancient love poetry got lots of love overseas, and it wasn't flop in that his character was great as always and he was acknowledged for his handling of the spear, plus the CP also has good chemistry. There were some badmouthing the two main characters and the CGI when it just started, and that might have scared many watchers away, I watched it all and thought it wasn't as bad as some made it out to be, and I appreciate him doing most of the fight himself. For wol it was #1 on tencent in Indonesia and maybe other countries too, so it's not wrong to say he's one of the most popular actors overseas right now. Journey to you and kunning palace are not tencent dramas or till the end of the moon, so they're not counted since this is tencent all stars events that why they were not invited. If you check on mdl, xukai has more hearts than those two other actors that you mention. This is what is mean by having overseas popularity.
