That's my opinion too, I think the story is pretty solid. And the cinematography was so good, and the antagonist's were really competent not stupid at all. Yue was always there saving her which wasn't that cool, but aside from that it was really good. Especially the if ending had they made different choices gave the story a pretty lil bow to conclude everything
The FL here is such a silly goose, with strong gremlin energy. That side of her is toned down a little later on,…
π The suicidal comment is on point. I'm watching Back to Seventeen (just for MiaoYi) since I constantly need soul soothing as an after effect of When I fly towards you, Our Generation etc.
Those who have read the novel, please tell what all is not covered in the drama after the endβ¦ like do they…
yess!! they've a wedding and the public decides to be from Fan Chanyu's side because she has no family and the streets were lined up with ppl celebrating them. Their kids (twins) go to meet Li Wenkan who's atoning for the sins his family commites by causing so much casualty is war.
Also how's Royal Rumours?? Is it like Blossom or maybe Youthful Glory?
Ohh...right, I was asking for how "light-hearted" royal rumours was, and if it's comparable to YG or Blossom in terms of cinematography, FL & ML characters, plot twists etc, because in terms of lighthearted drama I've watched really few so I've no material for comparison except youthful glory. Tho I'll definitely check out it RR cuz it looks fun!
i agree and disagree. i think Joseph had his moments especially the stone arc and the ending ! but i agree in…
Ok ..so here's my opinion. I also haven't watched that deeply purely for entertainment purposes. BUT! We have to remember that Ji Ling is actually 100+(?) years old, he's been living under this identity for a long time , plotting and scheming so his mission would be completed, also knew that he'll die due to it..and then we have Wu Shiguang he's young, naive, doesn't know much about the world, history ofe evrything that had happened compared to an insider like Ji long who had resources and also lived through the era where everything had happened (banishing of Jui Ying & Him taking up the "mission"). Ofc he'd be no match for a veteran & seasoned player like Ji Long. He's a baby dragon. But that doesn't mean that his character's not important enough, we're pointing at team efforts right!! So it is based on the idea that only by combining each person's powerful strength would they win. Ji Long couldn't have won without Shiguang and others vice versa. Tho it does seem like Ji Ling is the lead, but is that a problem..? Like I really enjoyed all the characters and their arcs (pointing specifically towards Wi Zhiqi & Tian Di)... might be based on the idea that real and fake dragon doesn't matter, it's your inner preservence and strength that matters. Also with relationship development between Wangyan & Shiguang- it might feel like romance took backseat or isn't there much but the whole Spirit Stone Illusion (?) are was about them fully developing the feels, they were attracted to each other before, but in that arc they accompanied each other through a lifetime, and the ending sequence where he cuts of his frozen appendages to be closer to her in his ending moments solidifies their feelings, it might be an eps for us but for them, it was a lifetime. And also everyone was trying to survive there, and romancing while facing death isn't that cool, there's ofc a noble ideal of saving the world but on baser level , they were all trying hard to live or ensure their loved one's survived.
And let me tell you I came after watching pursuit of jade .But for me Veil of Shadows is much better Right now…
Blood River also looks really cool, it has this gothic cinematography similar to My Journey to you...or like oppressive atmosphere of Shilin sect in Veil of shadows
I guess this is the happiest ending Edward guo can come up withπ . I donno whether I should feel happy or sad…
Well...at least they're romantically together, it's not AS tragic, could've ended with alot more (a win is a win). Dare not think deeply about how "Happy" the ending is π
the way 3 girls were into the 2nd ml at a point in time when he has the personality of stale bread
Bruh! That's what happens in college π with no other carrot in sight you can only make do with the stale ones. And due to high demand, less supply it causes vit A deficiency, hence problem with eyes π
I really liked it, for me personally it's a must watch, but really it depends what type of dramas your into
Thu best thing has a lil bit slower pacing than Shine on me, it's also incredibly sweet tho... I'd recommend Love Me, Love My Voice instead. ML is a doctor but also a famous dubber, Friend group with multiple romance storyline and also really healthy and sweet, I'm currently watching it so can't say more about the ending.
Is it a love triangle coz I despise it real bad & episode 1 definitely hints that π
None. Not at all. The Second ML who does have feelings for her is very eww, so there isn't any liking him and she clocks him really bad later on for stringing her along
I haven't bingewatched a drama in a long time but this one I could not put down. Even though I am not a huge fan…
It also felt like her growing a backbone(?) like she was this sarcastic and unflinchingly bold person but then her experience in college (aka the eww crush) made her understated in seeking a romantic relationship with someone and even standing up for herself...but in his presence she got enough confidence to be herself. That's the best I can explain this situation ig
