How will the writer redeem the FL’s stupidity and messiah complex.
The writer has made the FL very unlikeable from get go.
She is stubborn, selfish and uncooperative.

Do you at least get to the part where they accidentally sleep together? That's where the story picked up for me.…
Yes, I’m at episode 6 after 3 years. His most entertaining was tell me what you saw.

Title Ugly Alert
In drama, its a needless angst creator. In real life, its just blatant cowardice or disloyalty. In both realms,…
It’s lazy writing I my opinion, and irritating for me as viewer to watch. Plus it reduces empathy for the character.

You should see her role in “You are my destiny” her character was very obsessed with the ML
I just finished “Golden Bride” and she also played a similar role. I suspect type casting might have slowed her career.

Who knew that all it took to get a woman to like you was to profess your love, declare you and she should date then turn around and walk away, smh.

The premise of the ML protecting the SFL even risking jail time only makes the ML weak, idiotic, weak, pathetic and unappealing. If the audience doesn’t like the ML it brings down the quality of the story.
This kind of writing is just stupid and lazy, and actors that take this kind of roles risk damaging their careers.

Title Just You
This show is very boring, It’s difficult to follow, I seems like there is no plot just going from one scene to another watching random conversations.

I watch KDramas because they are old fashioned and full of comforting tropes, like rich man/poor woman, masculine ML and feminine FL.
I haven’t enjoyed many dramas in 2023 and 2024 because they are to modern with premarital sex, chicken out of wedlock, old woman/young man etc.,.

She's the only one with a brain. And morals.
I hope her career and life is managed well, so we get to see more of her acting.

MDL has the pecking order wrong, Yoona is the lead followed by Park Jae Jung and Gong Hyun Joo, Lee Ji Hoon is 7th after FL’s adopted Mom, Grandma and Dad.

I’ve rewatched this twice and I still don’t know how to rate this drama, if I remove about 75 episodes, I could give it a 10 (my rating system is heavily based on rewatch-ability, if I can 3 rewatches or more gets a 9 or 10)
I had to skip a lot of episodes to enjoy this.

Yoona did a great job carrying the bulk of this drama on her lovely & dainty 18yr old shoulders considering it was her first go as a lead, you can tell she is a natural born star.
Yoona definitely has the X-Factor, she’s quite appealing and charismatic, no wonder she was SNSD‘s center girl, even though she’s not the prettiest. In most of her scenes you tell she using internal dialogue to convey emotions.

The ML had a weird facial expression( he has the same expression in “Tale of Two Sisters”), it takes you out of the scenes he is playing. I did not get the impression that he put in to much effort in developing his character, or I could be wrong and he just followed the direction given.

My biggest issue was the imbalanced ratio of dynamic vs static characters, I see this a lot in KDramas, the toxic, unreasonable, non-self-reflective characters that are static and then suddenly at the tail end of the drama, flip a switch and become good. No moments of self awareness prior, I suspect this is in an effort to keep viewers triggered, angry and engaged, thus keep ratings up. I’m guessing that’s probably the easiest way to maintain viewership for shows with 100 episodes or more.

Overall I would say I recommend this considering it’s 178 episodes, for as rule with Kdramas the more episodes the more fast forwarding you have to do.

oh yes, definitely! I watched QOT excitedly at the beginning, then it turned to makjang route and I lost my interest😭…
And Kim Soo Hyun acting cringe weird to watch.
I think the visuals, wardrobe, etc.. carried QOT.

It’s funny how we’re never happy with what we have, ML’s mom is viewed as more successful, but her life is cold and dry, in contrast FL’s mom’s life is stressful but vibrant.
Also both leads take after there moms.

The show does a good job of showing and exposition, e.g. breakfast at both homes speaks volumes.

The lead’s chemistry is off the proverbial chain.

This beats “Queen Of Tears” hands down.

This is what “Dr Slump” should have been, good thing that I like So Min and Shin Hye.

If I was a KActor, I would only do “tvN” dramas.
So Min’s most successful dramas except for “ My Father Is Strange” are all tvN produced.
tvN does a great job on production design and immersing the viewer into the character’s environment .
