A real hidden gem with wicked and interesting storytelling - totally worth the watch!

I'm baffled that this drama isnt getting much attention because it would totally that. What can I say? I LOVED it.

---STORY---
The strongest value of this show. The storytelling is on point, tho i subtracted some points because, i'll keep it as spoiler free as possible, some of the event aftermaths didnt really make sense. Yeah, what can i expect from a j-drama but lets just say... there will be deaths in school and... the situation just immediately turns back to normal? Realistically, the school wouldve closed down. Also episode 7 felt rushed as everything puzzled itself together a little bit to quick.
Also the romance between the two characters game to short. (couuuuld be something for a possible season 2 tho? ;) )
Other than that, theres absolutely nothing to be criticized. A nearly flawless plot.

---ACTING/CAST---
Once again, ON POINT. The acting was perfect for jdrama standards and portrayed each characters emotions perfectly. Each character was designed to be compelling and interesting, no flat character design here. I even really liked the many side characters as they felt natural.
One thing to criticize is the lack of character development outside of that school. This is going to be a very subjective argument, but I wouldve loooooved to see each character outside of school as this wouldve revealed even more about their unique personalities.

---MUSIC---
The soundtrack was atmospherical and fit right into each scene, tho it was nothing too outstanding.

---REWATCH VALUE---
It is hinted that this drama is maybe getting a second season. I could be delusional here and interpret a little bit too much onto the ending but if im right here, im definetely gonna rewatch.

---OVERALL---
Good soup. Go and watch it.
No, seriously.

A thrilling, captivating show - If it wasn't for the long talking!

I'm relatively new to the j-drama scene, so this was one of the first series I've watched so far. What can I say? My experience absolutely wasnt a disappointment. I would've given a 10/10 rating but as every release this show has some flaws that would've been a dealbreaker for others.

STORY 10/10
The story itself got me excited and hooked with every episode. The way it handled pre-existing stereotypes (eg. "unpopular student who is new at school changing to a popular student") and re-eranged them to something completely new. That's creative storywriting for me. There never was a point where I felt that the plot was stagnating, from the very beginning to the last episode. Surely, the story is far from being realistic, but i dont really bother. It's fiction, after all.

ACTING/CAST 9/10 ................I'd actually split this into two parts.
CAST 10/10
I couldn't find any flaws to the cast. They fit perfectly into their environment and their appearances were distinctive enough even for an asian-face-blind silly european like me.
ACTING 8/10
2 points subtracted here, not for the acting itself, but for the way the series chose to convey it. The speeches were too long, not only for my taste but from what I've read, almost everyone feels this way. It's the biggest flaw, although it got better at the second half of the show. Other than that, there's nothing else I could criticize.

REWATCH VALUE 9/10
I'm sure I will get back to this show someday. This could take some while tho.

OVERALL 9.5/10
Maybe I'm giving away too many points for being too subjective. After all, this show will definitely not everyone's taste.
If you can endure long shonen anime like speeches, or even have a thing for those -I highly recommend this show!
Man, I really wish there was a second season or some kind...

A watchworthy but a little bit cheesy movie

I really enjoyed watching it though the events happened a bit too fast for a single movie. They could have split it into two or three parts to slow things down, because I wish it had gone a little bit more in detail. Giving the audience more room to breath, and such.
Otherwise I'd recommend it since the idea behind was very unique and not exactly like ordinary shoujo(?) movies.
Of course, in that genre, stereotypes and a higher level of cheesiness is inevitable, still it could make some of you cringe. If you're not into that, its not the right movie for you.

Nothing too special - But really worth a watch!

I had a very good time watching this movie. The production was on top but if youre going for something extraordinary, this is not the right movie for you.

---story---
What can I say about the plot? It's enjoyable but nothing too special, didn't really get me hooked but also didn't have any flaws I could point out. A solid 8/10 because it's something you could watch in-between two series as a buffer.

---acting/cast---
The acting was very good as you expected it to be for a good movie. I subtracted a point tho because at first i really disliked one of the main cast to the point i had a hard time sympathising with her even at the end. The other two side-characters (yes i'm too stupid to remember their names still) came too short in my opinion. I would've liked to see them more.

---music---
The music perfectly matched the movie to the point the lyrics even were part of the story itself! I really liked that concept. To anyone who plans to watch God of Novels, also pay attention to the lyrics (and choose the right subtitles if youre not fluent in japanese)! I couldnt give this a 10/10 rating because the music wasnt exactly my personal taste.

---rewatch value---
I think this is a one-time watch only as I dont really feel the desire to rewatch the movie anytime soon.

Very well done, but it doesnt feel complete

I'm a very big fan of the manga, it lead me to watch the movie too.

Story: I was a bit disappointed because the movie showed only like 50% of the story. Could be understandable because the manga consists of 14 volumes and the movie is only less than 2 hours long, but a lot of the story's charme was just swept under the table. An easy fix would've been a part 2 for the movie. Maybe that'll even happen, tho I'm not that sure it will. Otherwise, that 50% was portrayed well enough to keep me watching, it just didn't feel complete.

Acting/Cast: The acting was pure perfection. Well, it's a story about theater, what else should you expect? The character's expressions were on point, it felt genuine.

Music: The music was nothing special I would remember after watching, but it blent very well with the story.

Rewatch value: As I love rereading the manga, I'd probably rewatch this movie too as a little add on. But as a stand alone movie? I'm not sure.

Overall: I only suggest watching the movie if you already read the manga, otherwise it was pretty well done, just lacking a huge part of the original storyline.
