He literally self-harmed/threatened suicide and they are still pressuring him 😩😩

I’m not saying it’s a flaw necessarily, it’s just my fear. I love my culture but often growing up we were told to only get As, only be doctors, engineers etc. there’s a lot of pressure. I’m from immigrant parents and we live in America, the other kids that aren’t from heavy cultural backgrounds didn’t experience the same things. On the other hand it can be a pro, many people I grew up with are all achievers in their own right. But I fear that I could be a parent that forces their wish on their kids. So many of us are the extensions of our parents failed dreams or hopes, it’s not really fair. But given that my parents grew up in a remote village , I can understand it a little bit.

It wasn’t meant to be a negative comment, or at least when I thought of it, it wasn’t. I was merely sharing my fears, given my life experiences. I come from immigrant parents living in America, compared to the kids around me, only those in cultural communities like mine are faced with this type of pressure. I’m sorry if my honest fear offends. I can delete it but that was never my intention. Just my personal experience.

His mom, is an embodiment of why I fear having children. I don’t ever want to pressure my kids under the notion of guiding them. (it’s something people of color/non-western people tend to do)

The mother pisses me off so bad, he hasn’t said anything this extreme or mean, he still has love for her. Only us as outsiders feel this way. I’m hoping she has a redemption arc in the show, I don’t necessarily need to see it though lol

Her only gf is so high maintenance, every time her feelings get hurt by that boy she takes it out on cherry. It’s a little much, cherry is soooooo tolerant too.


Also Xiao man is an evil mastermind, every single one of her actions is maliciously crafted. And all her little friends are sheep. Sorry not sorry

He does yell at her but he eventually compromises because his parents start yelling and the whole neighborhood hears about it. Her parents end up talking with his as well. He doesn’t want his mom to disrespect her parents so he ends up following her wishes.

Everybody is in their business! Like it’s really not this serious. From the gossiping classmates to wicked mother, sheesh

QiQi is a very annoying character , she had very little growth. It feels like she sabotages her relationships.

Ep 3 was the last time it was mentioned out loud, but that’s why they refrain from calling her cherry at school

And she can’t even go by her nickname because the whole school is still making fun of her, something that he could make her feel better about if he had stood up for her

But up until episode 4 he has given her no explanation or a simple sorry statement. And considering how she was really a good friend to him when he needed one as a kid, it’s the least he could do. Also we see how her mom and her teachers worry about her, we can infer that the friendship meant a lot to her, almost like it’s shaped her and he shattered that for her. I don’t think it needs to be draggy but i think it’s fair so far.

Right I didn’t understand that, I watched ep3 around noon today and ep4 was only released now.

I guess but … the original script before the actress Fl got sucked in had him killing her. It’s how the screenwriter has written him but now that the FL is in the script, the “new” plot is slowly unveiling him to be more nuanced and not as evil. When they first encounter each other he is still his character and she’s still just a tool to him. I think

Chang long and Zhu Xu Dan typically play the same role every time I see them

I see why this is rated lower than the last one. However, I won’t add my ratings because I see that due to legalities or whatever, they had to change the direction of the part 2.

This was a nice quick watch. I think I would have liked it more as a long movie though since it was light on the plot and heavy on the action
