hi hi! how’s this show so far? I quite like ml so watched 1st episode yesterday.. unfortunately didn’t feel…
If you like a good revenge plot, with the enemies to lovers trope. I personally like it. It’s kinda like story of kunning palace where the fl isn’t into the male lead, but the male lead is really into her.
So I saw a lot of comments saying this was a remake of a Korean drama, I didn’t see people mention the name, so if you’re curious it’s A gentleman dignity. And the pacing is way better
Honestly, this show should have been about the mom. Maybe add some more mothers and fathers and then make it about finding yourself after kids are grown up. That would have been a better angle than the romance cause overall it didn’t give what they wanted it too. Still a decent watch. It’s more for the slice of life viewer than anything.
I really need to be a writer for these dramas. As soon as the son forgave the father, I thought “oh good , if the dad dies at least they are in a better space” I start ff and boom death. Why are these tropes so predictable 😂😂😂
I think I will to start watching the series after looking through snippets of the eps along the way. It looks…
Man it’s too realistic! I turn 29 this year😫, and I’m the only single person left in my family 😭😭, I sympathize with her.i also struggle with the balance of respecting family but standing on your own 2 feet.
I can see why this drama is rated low. And I can also see why people that like it really like it.
If you’re debating on watching here’s my take: it’s a real life drama. None of the type of plot devices that most film makers use to move things along, like accidentally falling and kissing, trapped in an elevator, etc. It’s relatable, outside of inheriting wealth, anyone can live this. It’s vastly different from the cheesy feel good types of dramas. Which is why it feels slow paced.
Oh, did I blink and miss something? or did I accidentally stumble into a time warp where kisses don't exist? Just…
Majority of Asian dramas (excluding Japanese ones) try not to have the leading female kiss more than one male in one drama. It wasn’t about being shy or insinuating innocence and more about real life moral codes for the lead actress. I personally have never seen it, other watchers can correct me if I’m wrong.
I appreciate many things about this. 1. Happy ending 2. The second male lead from story of kunning palace gets a happy ending here ! 3. Finally a female lead that does not need saving all the time! She really pulled her weight!
