I’m seeing that the ending isn’t satisfying or HE; considering not finishing it, I was on ep 17 and I knew things would go the other in the next arc so I paused it to let more episodes air, but now seeing the reviews and comments, idk

LM forces ML to marry MJH’S EUNUCH, then ML finds a way to escape (after the marriage). She goes back to the tiny village. Then he comes looking for her , the do the grownup, then he takes her back to the city to save LM. She believes she’s dying and so she lets LM fight with her and dies that way. MJH hears that she dies but doesn’t believe , digs up her grave and drags it around doing things he should have done for her. Then comes to the realization he’s dragging someone else’s corpse. The witch doctor that was present in healing LM faked her death kinds. In a year ML wakes up , marries MJH who is now emperor.

I sort of agree. I didn’t come with expectations so I actually am enjoying it. I think the way the story is being told is the issue. Like the flashbacks are off. Or something. idk. But I like looking at Neo so I will keep watching until something better catches my attention lol

I actually quite like that one, the comedic timing is really good. I usually hate the comedy in most dramas and films nowadays

Unpopular opinion: Ci Sha (LJX) is a great actor. I want to see him in roles where everyone can appreciate him. Like story of kunning palace or like story of minglan or like true beauty where he lean into being “bad” good guy but actually get the girl.

But she loved him at the time I think, it wasn’t a simple friendship. He even made a joke about her giving birth and her response wasn’t negative. She was in love with him, right?

Why did the writers not think “hey if we make the SML want to kill her brother, how could a relationship bloom?” I wouldn’t for a second consider falling for the person that wants to persecute my family member. Yet this brilliant SML, doesn’t consider that? Anything for the plot I guess.

I’m on the fence about how Kang hae jun character is written…

I think the FL will remain this way. They have to beautify the story for the masses. In the book she’s more heartless and only cares about survival but in the drama she’s lead by her heart. So she will not veer from the path of prioritizing human lives while still getting revenge. MJH was also worse in the book. They leaned heavily on romanticizing the story for the drama
