They just released a trailer and as it turns out , it's an other rom-comedy with fluffy romance.I was expecting…
I agree! I've seen two already that are historical rom-coms and they were VERY disappointing (The Sweet Girl and Dr Cutie). The point about the usual weak plots, useless FLs and the ML is SO true! Tonally all over the place as well. There's cartoons with better writing, tbh. The trailer for this never made me laugh once and the tsundere trope and the servile and childish FL is such a repellent as a concept. I like better written FLs and stronger plots with depth about the era its set in. I like healthy relationships where they make each other better people as a consequence. I like creative use of lighting and good cinematography. Never seen Eternal Love or Pillow Book.
Am I the Only one Who finds the character of Jae Young annoying? Like, his character is all over the place. At…
He's a controlling, obsessive and lying turncoat! He was forcing a moment with touching behind her last ep or so and I was cringing. His chance has long gone!
I'm curious about that too, as from experience, the novel and adaptation can be two very tonally separate entities e.g. Princess Weiyoung, Princess Agents, Miss Truth, Dr Cutie etc.
It's true what are you saying about adultery dramas but there are a few exceptions! KakaFukaka, Takane no Hana,…
Ah, OK. Yeah, a few do have better kiss scenes, but shame it doesn't seem to be that commonplace for J-dramas. Ah well, that's what Tw-dramas succeed at, I suppose! ??♀️?
J-dramas need better kiss scenes! I feel like I got the Hallmark TV film treatment, here? with the brief kiss, then the cut away when things got more passionate. Feels like the only time I see good kiss scenes is when adultery situations are occurring.

Some behind-the-scenes and interviews are very entertaining and Marcus is shyer than I though.
Maybe I'll branch into matriarch-type Chinese novels that are already subbed on my own and I hope I'll find some good pairings in them.
Any links to that novel you're referring to?
I'm intrigued by the swapping of the typical gender roles already.

Shame emoticons aren't allowed in the comments, hence the '??' in my original comment.
