Only staying for Xu Kai's fight scenes, he looks so handsome.

When he fell, they should have checked instead of just assume. It was their star student you would at least want a proper burial with a body. It was so easy for them to go there.
With the imprisonment of SH, his story was not even convincing and then the vanishing technique being used like that yet they were ready to crucify Qiu Bai with no solid evidence just hearsay. That’s why I say it’s disjointed. It’s so poorly written it’s frustrating.

It's the level of stupidity that's frustrating. It's disjointed. I don't mind bad guys winning but make it make sense. A few examples:

-Why is no one watching Ji Rong yet they were told to, FL caught on early and ML told them to watch her, yet she runs around like she owns the place. Ji Rong is getting a lot of screen time to show us these annoying tricks we all see through easily. They could have written the script better to make us think she is on the good side and nice plot twist for the viewer than this.

-When DXY fell off the cliff no one really went to look for him except FL, when he got out they all just waltzed in there, like come on. You could have done this earlier

-Why did the elders imprison DXY and didn't do the same for SH.

-Why did they not go as soon as they got the heads up about XueyingTerritory

Then there are all the annoying side characters.

Make the script more complicated with the bad wining no problem, these silly things that can easily be avoided make it so frustrating, they make you question how they ever survived without DXY and his crew, they are the only ones doing something sensible.

I will keep watching for now, since I enjoy watching Xu Kai.

I think the aunt actually valued him and gave him the treatment she thought he needed. There is a scene where she has a flashback, of her explaining to someone why she treats them differently. She obviously got it wrong.
So strange how they made the elders so clueless. I know one is probably a demon ,but how they wrote this like how did they ever survive without the fab four, its too much.

I seriously don't know how book readers managed to finish the book. I would have dropped. I don't mind MX not being a virgin, its really kinda normal these days. I also don't think women should be held to these standards if men aren't too. It's the spoilers on how CWD was in the book I wouldn't be able to handle.

Warning to future watchers, the book is messy so the drama is messy. Go in with that mindset and you will not be too upset with some of the things that happen lolololol....

I really enjoyed watching Moxi. Wouldn't have minded a few more episodes showing her journey of how she became "Miss Tang". They could have completely cut out the second couple ( what snooze fest) and focused on how she became a woman of interest in that classist society.

True he actually didn't commit a grave sin except not be able to stand up to his parents, each time he tried WY always interfered at the right moment.
Also MX has gotten most of the hate than any of them yet she has always been actually loyal to them when they really needed her to be. She has helped all WJG, CWD, FY and WY. She deserves a happy ending, not surprised the book ended with her with XW uncomplicated person.
None of the things are going to happen like you said, they will just wrapped it up and play happy families lol.....

That guy still loves MX though. The way he was side eyeing FY in the carriage girl had to look outside, then he ran to ride that horse looking for MX. He was so disappointed to not find her, you can see his hand gestures. They should do themselves a favor and divorce. Or just give them less screen time, so we focus on the revenge.

Yes they are married and no he is not in love with her. They may force something in these last 3 episodes, it would not be natural though.

This is still victim blaming. We are just going to have to agree that disagree.

MX is a victim. Its crazy as well to want to upset the person you claim to be on the same side with with taking a whole person against their will, its also such an imbalance of power, that he can just take that 17 year old girl to piss off someone. He can just let her go now . Why should he have MX, you think she is so bad then he should let her go? No one needs him to be married to her. In fact he could just stop the war by marrying the official's daughter. You don't have to commit rape to be abusive, taking someone's freedom is abuse.

CWD is our main lead and yes we are supposed to love him, no way can you convince me that kidnapping someone and holding against their will leads to real love. This person you are holding against their will doesn't even have someone else to confide in, because all her maids work for him and so do all the soldiers. You are now then effectively cut out from the outside world, because he chooses the world you see.. This is not about WJG or whoever, it's about trying to sell us that real love comes from being kidnapped. Sorry not buying that. I will still watch but as a viewer I will not give excuse to the character here or the writers, they should have done better here.
