I think it’s because that’s the role they told her to play
yeah. i think she gets type cast to play those kinds of characters cos thats what shes known for. I'd like to see her at the centre of a romance though, or slice of life drama

How does a show put out such a great pilot episode, only to derail into such utter nonsense? It's so disappointing because, clearly the writers are working with a very interesting concept, but they simply don't have their priorities straight. This is a complex premise with complex themes and it deserved to be tackled in a complex light. Sadly, the whole thing is just full of jumbled up, irrelevant crap. Don't even get me started on how unrealistic the whole thing is. Honestly, I'm gonna have to drop this one because I cannot afford to get any more pissed than I already am.

He is a good actor. When I watched KTL I was like eh,okayish but then I watched the red sleeve and oh my God.…
ive been planning to watch the red sleeve for a while now. I hear his character there is quite grounded and serious compared to KTL.

i love Kim Minha, and this is a chance for me to get a different opinion of Lee Junho since i disliked King the Land. But whats with the poster???

the premise is good. however, the FL is insufferable and the entire plot hinges on all the characters being the dumbest and most inefficient bersions of themselves. like no kidding, this whole thing could be wrapped up in 2 seconds if some of these characters just applied their thinking meats. I might have to drop it cos it's also overdramatic for absolutely no reason. the music is good though.

I think PGY lacks range. She's always so stiff and bland. and I've seen her in 4 different shows, yet she's literally always the same person.

wow. the comment section makes me feel like I'm the only one who liked the love triangle 😂. dosan as a character certainly required more development, and the love triangle certainly took too long. but i love this show so much😭. i can't believe it's rated 8.1 while shit like King the land gets an 8.3 rating 😒

If I were to make a list of my favorite K-dramas, this series would be number one.

I dont find the age gap an issue as much as i did have an issue with her "acting " the part immaturely.…
i understand. however, I personally loved their romance. I found the bromance between the goblin and grim reaper to be a bit cringe at times. also, sunny was just too shallow of a character for me to get invested in her relationship with the grim reaper. their relationship was well-written, with the history and past lives thing, but her character just really lacked... character.

I thought the difference in personality between the goblin and Euntak was sort of why they clicked so well. like an opposites attract sorta thing. and yeah, gong yoo did look more mature than the character's age.
Anyway, his maturity and her immaturity was never an issue for me because he never used it as an advantage over her. their relationship was quite respectful and developed gradually. i also think her childish personality was crucial for making it easy for the two to strike conversation and interact. she was always so open and talkative. I don't think there's any way to portray a talkative, light hearted child without making her look childish. but it makes her personal growth quite obvious in the later episodes.

I genuinely feel like Eun taks character was done right. her personality made the dynamic with the goblin feel so real. their conversations felt so down-to-earth and genuine. thats because as a child, she can afford to be open about her life and feelings without any fear or overthinking. that's just something a highly mature person wouldn't do. if she were more mature, she would've been a bit more closed off, and unable to say certain things that come to her mind. he childish behavior is what made their relationship feel so genuine.

and actually, she behaved maturely around most other characters, like in school and at home, and around the ghosts. she was only really childish around the goblin because of her feelings for him. aren't we all a bit childish when we're around someone we like, someone who makes us feel safe?😅 he made her feel like she could open up and be herself. he brought out her inner child. it's just super obvious cos she a child on the outside too😂.

anyway, i thought they made the right decision with her character and age. they easily had the best dynamic in the show in my opinion. grim reaper and sunny didn't really work for me cos I don't buy love at first sight, even if it's rooted in past lives. they never spoke, they just fell in love cos they were beautiful people and cos they were in love in their past lives. that just seemed like fate dictating their feelings. but Euntak and Kim Shin loved each other's personalities and forged their own fate regardless. that mattered more to me than maturity vs immaturity, and certainly more than their age Gap.

the ending left me feeling a bit unsatisfied. I felt like it could've been much better with just a few changes. all in all, i loved watching this. the main couple is arguably my favorite kdrama main couples. the show has a few pacing issues here and there, and that's why i can't call it a perfect show. But, it's a solid 9/10 for me.

What you're saying makes a lotta sense. i think the directors chose to make her quirky and childish in order to make her personality likeable to the audience. Also, she's supposed to be bright, like a ray of sunshine in the Goblin's otherwise gloomy existence. besides, she's actually quite mature in her reasoning and her outlook on life. it's just that she refuses to let her past hinder her happiness. she knows she still a child and doesnt mind acting like one because she refuses to be beaten down by the world. i actually thought the actress did a brilliant job.

the first episode was insanely good. I was hooked. the child actors are super talented. I picked up this show because of park Eun bin, yet she's the reason I'm struggling to watch it. her portrayal of the character is a bit much; I feel she's kinda overdoing it. I wasn't expecting Attorney Woo mannerisms, but the way she talks and acts is just over the top. her character has been isolated from society for over a decade, and after such a traumatic experience, she seems unphased.
