Yep! Didn't realise how petty I was until I gave this show a 9......because of Kim Ji hoon and his manly 90s sexy vibe that made him quite unforgettable tbh. His visuals left me hypnotised 🥵
Just stumbled on this new drama by chance and so far I'm loving it. Its nice to watch something that isn't a slow burn romance for once. Only 3 episodes in and these 2 are already lighting my screen on fire 🔥. Can't wait for the next episodes.
Having an understanding of cults I feel is a necessary prerequisite to be able to appreciate how accurate the portrayal of a cult was on this show. Those feelings of frustration and not reconciling the actions of the adults are spot on because on the most part, thats what it looks like to the person viewing from the outside. Its obviously more complex underneath the surface. Most of the times, cults prey on people who are at their lowest and sometimes just naturally have a tendency to be brainwashed because of upbringing, lack of self esteem etc.... I appreciate the actors for bringing this to life and what a masterpiece 👏 . Btw, S Korea has had a massive problem with cults over the years so they would probably do it better.
I haven't even seen the romance yet but my heart is already full! I really appreciate non-toxic storytelling that still remains realistic. So many lovely supporting cast inc grandma and the 4 babies ❤️...I don't want this show to end 😢
This drama's pros greatly outweigh the cons. I have watched too many cdramas and this one is nowhere near as bad as some overhyped ones I've seen. Of course I'm sad about all the cut scenes but I'm up to ep31 and I'm still watching, without skipping. In fact, Xiao Duo's fight scene at the beginning of the ep brought me here, it was that good! A lot of cdrama plots tend to follow a formula that makes them too predictable but this one isnt. I have a feeling that if it wasn’t sabotaged it had the potential to be great. I am a sucker for a good political/romance/action drama and it doesn't really dissapoint in this regard. I am curious about the role IQIYI played in this regardless of the so-called censorship.

49 episodes is indeed too much for this juvenile madness...such a pity it was a high quality production that again is overly lengthy and quickly loses its charm. I keep hoping cdrama would adopt the kdrama 16- ep format because frankly the scriptwriting in cdrama sucks most of the time... With so much content available to watch nowadays who has the time for this many episodes???

I have seen a lot of cdramas and this is one of the few with a mostly positive spin which I attribute to the writer. It may seem overdone, but once you've seen other cdramas you'll be grateful that this drama exists. If you also look closely you'll realise that things weren't all hunky dory especially for Yutu on the job front. The difference is that they made sure to communicate. Other cdramas tend to use misunderstandings and lack of communication, amnesia, love triangles etc as plot drivers since they are always 30+ episodes. It can get repetitive and draggy. Very few dramas are like this one here because it literally does the opposite, it was unexpected in a good way.
