repost....Seeing a lot of people in the comments asking why our "Imperial Cat" always holds back from…
Also, the part about him “protecting“ the bad guys from the sex slave trade when in reality he’s not protecting them, he’s protecting the evidence that they hold within them so that they can testify in court. That’s the epitome of justice! If you kill off all the evidence, how the hell are you going to bring down the conspiracy? The fact that ML runs on a completely different moral ground than those in the more show arts world should be fairly recognizable. After all, he’s basically like a cop and a detective all rolled into one. He’s there to look for evidence, for clues not to just kill people, even if they are in the wrong or doing heinous things. The more evidence he can gather against them, the faster the court can judge them and execute them.
Totally agree with you about this being a true blue wuxia, flowing well and unravelling in layers naturally. It’s…
My big wish is that at the end they don’t kill anyone of the trio I mean, even though in the genres somehow something ends up happening. And after AJTL, I don’t trust what the actors say even though YY during the last promotional thing did say that the three of them were going to finish this off and bring down who they need to bring down and live. I don’t really buy that lol.
If you think about it, each one of these conspirators is disgusting in their own way the first one was in the sex slave kidnapping business. Now there’s this freak and what he did to two families essentially and who knows what else. Plus, we don’t know who the other two are.
I agree with you that the story and series is beautiful and entertaining, and the fight scenes are awesome.
He was so sure that his “uncle” didn’t suspect him that he didn’t even realize he was walking into a trap.
The thing is prior to my reading about JB, I didn’t really understand it either, but I was willing to give it a chance. These people aren’t even willing to give it a chance. I will have to remember that, but it would make more sense if it came from the original source, which is you. Plus, I haven’t been feeling well (ill would be a better description) the last few months, years; I’ve even cut back on my review writing which used to bring me so much pleasure so I really don’t know when I’ll get around to doing it. But coming here every day and seeing this complete misunderstanding is just disheartening.
He was so sure that his “uncle” didn’t suspect him that he didn’t even realize he was walking into a trap.
Not just why he doesn’t kill but also why he supposedly “protected“ ZH the sex slave trade guy. They don’t understand even though ML said it in his own words, but way after this person dropped the drama, who wrote a rather scathing and unfair review on the ML. That he’s not protecting the person he’s protecting the evidence that that person will testify a trial. Maybe add more about that. That basically ML is like a cop and a detective and all that wrapped up into one and he can’t just kill off the evidence then how will they ever bring down this massive conspiracy?
He was so sure that his “uncle” didn’t suspect him that he didn’t even realize he was walking into a trap.
Yeah, that was a close call and I’m glad that he regained consciousness now he just has to recover. And I’m glad that the sister is going to search the world for physicians to help possibly cure their older brother.
Totally didn’t recognize your picture because before it was an abstract pink square thingy. I’m not sure you saw what I replied to your discussion thread saying, but I do think it would be great if you reposted that whole message here in the threads because it seems that people are completely misunderstanding, the ML and his intentions and one person drop the drama claiming ML was an evil person because he shielded the slave driver and didn’t even bother to look into why ML does what he does that it’s not about shielding and protecting the villain but the evidence that they hold. Maybe if you put that in here again more people, especially the new viewers won’t just take the not so bad ratings and the words of people that don’t understand anything but really get into the story more. I think that this show deserves that.
I’ve actually been thinking that this will be the first drama since VOS that I will be writing a review on. As for the rating, those of you who have been in comment sections with me before know that I don’t rate until the drama finishes. I can say that it’ll be high though won’t be perfect and of course it all depends on how they end it. But the genre is my favorite and the fact that it is the original coined version of what a real true blue wuxia is makes it just so much better and the storyline is flowing very well.
I like how they’re slowly peeling back layer upon layer of this controversy, that’s so so massive to bring down each and every single villain that is attached to Lord what’s his face that threatens the emperor and the entire empire. I love how our three amigos even when things seem like they did in yesterday‘s episodes, they still came together to figure out exactly what happened with her aunt and SML‘s brother. From the previews that I saw on the Chinese app they’re gonna be at this for a few more episodes for sure probably into the late 20s so I’m guessing that’s probably around when though I don’t know how they will bring that dude SM down as he’s the next target.
Still don’t know who the other two conspirators are; don’t know why but that cousin of SML I don’t like him unless he starts changing his tune soon, I think he’s one of the four; unless he’s just another foot soldier like ZH was. We haven’t met one guy yet, and he was seen in quite a few trailers and he’s in the main poster as well so maybe he’s the last conspirator I don’t know. Just guessing here.
Idk, it's getting harder to want to continue watching. Suspense is still near zero for the crime case aspect,…
This a real Wuxia though; every other drama you have ever watched that has tacked this genre was never really the genre. This drama is what it really is all about. This is the old School original coining of the phrase. He fights the way he fights due to how he was taught by several martial artists including those of his family. Every single person you meet that is from a certain sect or a certain family has a certain way of fighting so it’s not cartoonish if you watched the blood of youth, it was the same thing, though with a lot more pizzazz if you will. A real skilled fighter is not going to change up his fighting style in each fight; that’s not what the martial arts world is all about. You notice in the script they mention certain particular weapons or fighting styles by name. This is something that each again sect or family is good at and passes down generation to generation. Perhaps the show just isn’t for you.
Looks like for the next few episodes were going to be in this case of exonerating one person and finding out who really killed the other. But I'm glad that our three amigos are back together and fighting for the truth.
I admire the friendly collaboration - even while working in the freezing cold
When they're not fighting, but just either running around or having a lot of conversations they have a lot of fun behind the scenes and they goof off a lot. I mean, if you think about it, this is a pretty serious series so when you are able to joke around and just let the tension out of the air, it's a good thing.
It seems like many viewers on MDL are more into idol romance dramas. They can’t intelligently distinguish between…
Looks Like your talk to text type the same thing twice lol. But yes, a lot of people just don't seem to have patience for these well-thought-out storylines and franchisees that have been built a few decades ago.
THANK YOU! There’s a review up there that basically made me angry because of how the person rationalized dropping…
Yeah, I guess when they criticize it makes them feel good about themselves. I don't know. Because understandable there's going to be issues with plots and different things but when people find nothing else better to do than that then it's the person with the problem. Go find a documentary you don't have to worry about acting.

That's a good analogy. I also think that if people know that the story doesn't have romance in it why bother watching in the first place if that's what they're looking for? It's very easy to go into the search bar, type in the word "romance", and a slew of dramas will pop out with that genre that they can watch. I think people that like the genre like the storytelling in the world building or the continuation of the world since this has already been built apparently with JB though I don't think that character appears in this drama and the ML and everything he stands for those are the people that are really going to appreciate the show and the fight scenes, etc.
