Nah it offers a lot of great and different variety of fighting choreography. This is the best wuxia drama we've…
He didn’t say that this drama was the best. He said it was the hardest fighting scenes he’d ever done. Those were his words translated verbatim. That’s honesty. That’s not rainbow farting. When you practice a skill or a fighting sequence so much you can barely stand straight and you actually say that that’s honesty.
I am disappointed by the way ordinary people, who have never held positions of extreme importance, such as judges…
THANK YOU! There’s a review up there that basically made me angry because of how the person rationalized dropping the drama. Without even really thinking or putting two and two together.
True there! Yet, many goes after the rating. If they see bellow 8 they are hesitand and many does not give a chance.I…
Oh, me too. One of those people dropped the show and wrote a crappy review about it in regards to them not liking the fact that ML supposedly “protected“ the main villain or one of the villains from being killed by the SML for keeping sex slaves. When they, number one, don’t know ML’s background, nor did they choose to figure it out and number two, don’t understand that he’s not protecting the person he’s fully expecting them to get their just desserts by the power of the law and be executed, but he’s protecting the evidence that they possess in order to bring down the entire conspiracy. If key people are killed and there’s no evidence, how are you going to bring down Lord what’s his face that’s threatening the imperial court and emperor with a rebellion? I mean people really have to read about the background of the person and not just go “well he did that so I hate him now and I’m going to drop the show and the script is crappy, etc.” Like he’s basically an imperial cop if you will, not a vigilante of the martial arts world. He’s not going to just kill for the sake of killing. He’s going to need evidence and then he needs to hand that person over to be judged in a court of law. That’s who he is. His moral and ethical judgment is different than those in the martial arts world where they can just chop each other’s heads off for kicks and giggles or if they see something wrong. Sadly, in the world today, people do just that without going through the proper motions. Yes, it takes time but criminal cases do eventually get to trial and people do get convicted and if need be, executed. That’s why I really wish that people would look and understand ML‘s actual nature and background before they make hasty and what I think unwise decisions.
I am starting the drama now. . I also recognized Zhang Ming En/Shao Ji Zu, in a supporting role.
His character is totally different from a lot of the ones that I have seen. Here, he is a bad dude and an arrogant one at that. It’s a departure from his usual kind or good natured characters.

Agreed! I love the genre and this true to form is very rare nowadays. The intricacy in the fighting scenes is absolutely insane. I think YY spoke about his in several interviews and he said that out of all the shows he’s done where he’s had fighting scenes, this was the hardest and because there were so many movements and so many people that he was fighting against that had to all coordinate each move in a particular manner, so everything had to fit. He also apparently tried to film a lot of the fight scenes in one day as opposed to like three which it would usually take. But he said that he just spent so much time practicing the movements that his character would have to do for each scene that he felt like he could hardly stand up when he was taking a break afterwards. That says a lot about just how hard each real fight scene was. He also said he spent a lot of days flying around on wires.
That Jin dude is definitely some sort of villain he has to be. I don't know where he fits in the four villain below Prince of whatever but he fits in there somewhere. Quite obvious he is the one who created the poison. More of the investigation mode in today's episodes than fighting, but that's all right. Still want to see more good fights for our ML. It's good that we're getting the backstory of FL and SML as we go because everything seems to be connected to the overall large conspiracy.
why 7.7 ? is it that bad ? i wanted to give it a try but is it not worth it?
Don't look at the rating. This is a fan site. It doesn't matter and besides anything that is a seven or above on the mainland would be celebrated with a poster. People need to watch the drama for a few episodes to decide for themselves.
it will probably rise when we finish and rate it seriously anyways, but its indeed quite upsetting that some jobless…
Most likely. If ppl want romance so much, they should just watch those. Why on earth come see a show that obviously doesn't have that and moan and complain rating it low? Or complain about the ML not killing without understanding his background or knowing about judge Bao or any of that. Plus refusing to find out.....like why are you here?
Hey guys, let’s agree on this. This is a site by fans for fans, it doesn’t actually mean anything when it comes to the rating so if you’re enjoying the drama, just enjoy it and ignore if you think of 7.7 is a bad rating. Honestly dramas if they get above a 7 or above, they actually celebrate and put posters up on Weibo so technically by their standards, this is a good rating. But like I said, enjoy the drama if you are and ignore it and don’t let it bother you.
