I believe she only knew Hailou was on the ship. She didn't know Haixia was on it.
Those two don't separate she knew that if One was there the other one was going to be somewhere there as well. She's lived long enough to know how these things work.
I've only watched up to ep12 but I'm with you about the mentor. Her methods are cruel and incomprehensible. It…
Likewise, I have no idea why she didn’t save him on that ship. He didn’t have to take the poison even if he knew about a half of it, and not the entirety, and the fact that what it will ultimately do to him. And the fact that he’s suffering so much. I mean he’s going to be doing small things later on, but she is not exempt from this. Especially as their mentor and supposedly loving mother, that’s not how one acts.
Totally with u on DYX! I always think he’s a good actor but wow, he’s truly terrifying awesome in this character!…
I have seen I think three or four of his shows and he always Nails it. I think I have one more on my list. I don’t know if he’s filming anything at the moment.

His slow descent into evilness is very masterful. I mean, I’ve seen him play a general before and I know that he can give those killer looks, but not when you take an inherently good person and then make him evil because of the crap that he took and didn’t fully know about. I think the actor himself is actually more of an introvert so this is definitely closer to an introvert as the quiet ones are the ones you have to worry about not the loud ones.
