Thanks for the perspective of someone who wasnt brainwashed by the Anime into thinking this was intended to be its exact, live-action replica. Im continually amazed at the narrow-mindedness of what one would think to be a open and free-thinking crowd.

You also sort of made my point for me. How can a viewerthink anythings been "chopped out* of something if hmthey havent seen the other work? How would they miss character development unless theyve seen the eatlier work? What if the character development feels fine, as it did to me here, just ss it is? I repeat: too many viewers watch adaptations expecting a xeroxcopy of what they saw or read before. They are incapable of, and dont even try to perceive the adaptation as a stand-alone work,to be judged on its own merits. This is why, as often as possible, i read or watch the source work AFTER seeing a series or movie.

People should bear in mind that it was never the goal of this series' makers to somehow reproduce the Anime as a precise live-action relica. That is not possible to do, so they dont try. There are moods, expressions, visual effects in the Anime that would be expensive and difficult to replicate in live-action and wuld likely look stupid even if they succeeded. That is just one of a thousand reasons the fine print for a show like this reads "BASED UPON."

A lot of commenters seem to come here looking for a perfect live-action remake, and that was never the intention.

Regardless, you are a gifted writer wih deep insights into the material. BL has changed my life and I relate profoundly to the charas, stories, mode of story-telling, and to some degree their Adian-ness, both ethnically and culturally. Dont know why, as I am as Caucasias can be. lol The level of respect and empathy shown in your critiques is very moving to me.

One ofthe worst BLs I have ever seen. Jaime is a narcissistic, selfish jerk willing to manipulate a young woman despite the fact shes heart-broken and looking for straight love. The vlogger's not far behind in the douche, ready and willing to follow Jaimes deceitful lead. This being Pinoy, naturally we have an obnoxious over the top lady-man who is grossly aggressive with their comments and come-ons to Jaime.

Disgusting. Bad acting especially from Jaime.

My understanding is that he reported the ape perpatrated by that big muscly guy near the end. The first incident took place while Light was prostituring himself. The guy came on his ass before entering and raged out at Light aout it hardly a RAPE. As fr you wanting more, I guess they could havemade it a series and gone on and on with teir life...but as another commenter is fond of saying, this is the story he director wanted to tell on the amount of time he told it. And then...it ended.

He reported the ape on his own, which means he HAD gained confidence. Why would he not press charges, having already reported the incident?

Why do you not thi there was plenty of discussion and healing to come? Just because it wasnt spelled outon the screen? Movie chaacters'lives continue after the camera stops. I wish this was longer too but the ending didnt bother me at all.

Wow, this was good. Great acting, direction, cinematography, story heartbreaking but with a hopeful, nice ending. Beautiful actors with interesting faces and gorgeous bodies. Oh what a broken soul is Light, god knows with good reason. I kept hoping Shuo would go beat the living daylights out of that monstrous stepfather too.

I would have liked to see, for realisms sake, Light fight back more forcefully whe you know what happened toward the end. I get why a damaged person might go into passive mode but given what he now had with Shuou, it would make sense for him to fight like an animal t protect what now belonged only to him and Shuou.

Also, given the generally straightforward eroticism of this flick, it was sadly amusing to see that old BL trope where guys get up after having sex and put their undies back on. It doesnt work that way. lol And Lights bubble butt wasstunning, especially considering how skinny he was.

Anyway...great flick. So glad to have accidentally found it. Wish it had been full length. Plenty of material to work with.

For me this started out with some dark, mysterious edges to it that all turned to rainbows and sunshine by the end, without much to explain the transformation. The early darkness was just a feint, I guess, to make theplot seem more intereating than it is, because by the last crucial epsodes it felt like your average, run of the mill cliche, super-seeet and sexless bl.

To the very end it seemed TK liked whichever one he happened to be in the same room with at the time.

Loved Orange Boy all the way thru, love that So Hee was allowed a redemption arc, because I believe some pople can change. Felt bad for Da On by ep 15. I had loathed him to that point.

Disappointed thislost its intriguing, unusal edge by halfway through and went to the sugary regions of BL Land. 8/10 from me.

I love gun and think hes sexy. Great legs, whish we saw a lot of in his soccer uniform in LBC, which is where I fell for him. His morning-after drunk sex scene with his stalker in LBC was hysterically funny all due to Guns facial expressions. lol
