Part of the blame goes to the bad script. It’s explained at the end what happened to the rest. The thing with Cdramas is that all villains & criminals MUST be caught & punished or they won’t be able to pass censorship 🤣 So you always know the outcome in the end. It saddens me because I love Zhang Songwen the ML and he’s the only brilliant actor in this drama(according to majority reviews on Douban). I wish ppl would watch but I also couldn’t bring myself to say that it’s good. I mean it’s watchable and you’d wanna keep watching to see how it ends but her acting on the last ep. and especially the script for the last ep. ruined it for me.

Agree! Ep 13 & 14 were so good & I thought the story can finally crank up the intensity now. Then they went back to the draggy Ning dramas 😩 Actually because I couldn’t focus on Ning’s scenes, I’m getting confused about the schemes now. I don’t understand why Si Yilin was sent to fight and then the Ministry of War called him back to be punished. 😵💫 I no longer know what’s going on except that the old chieftain is on a self-sabotaging path.

No her acting is really bad in this drama. It started ok but got worse and worse. If you wanna watch her better acting, watch Meet Yourself. She has a small role but she’s more natural there. I’ve seen her in a variety show Chinese Restaurant 5(if I remember correctly), she’s a very nice person.
What does Canxing mean when he told Zichuan Xiu “Lin He, don’t forget who you are?” So he’s from the Lin Family? And so what’s wrong if he marries Ning?
The ending really destroys everything for me. The script and plot for the ending are so stupid. Why would a plainclothes police officer hop into a van full of his armed & trained colleagues without being instructed to? Since when is it ok for a policeman do whatever he wants and the funniest thing is his leaders were clapping his back after he succeeded in becoming a hero 🙄 🤣 And why was his wife, the so-called FL crying so much? Was she competing with Huang Zongwei’s wife(who had legit reason to cry) on who cried the most? She cried so much that the husband(that hero haha) had to carry her 🤣 wtf…This drama tried too hard to glorify the police, like they would always know where the villains are even without any hint, in the middle of nowhere and wow the police bumped into the villain’s truck 🤣 but because the plot and acting from the police’s side are SO dumb and weak, it becomes a joke.
Annabel Yao wasn’t bad in other drama but I guess she doesn’t have enough experience and trainings to take on a lead role. Zhang Songwen is the only reason I watched this drama but even he couldn’t save a drama with super low budget, bad script & below par acting from most other actors.
