Yeah Annabel Yao. She’s getting A LOT of hate currently for her acting. She’s not as bad as what they said about her though she definitely lacks experience. I remember she was pretty natural in Meet Yourself. Ppl just wanna hate on her coz of her rich bg. Han Geng is also another recognizable actor in it. It’s quite an easy watch as there are only 18 eps and each only about 35-40 mins.

I know this is a slice of life but Ma Kui dying in that train reminded me of how his mentor also died the same…
It shows us that the life choices we make will lead us to different paths and results. Life can sometimes be full of regrets. If Dr Shen was able to face the judgments of outsiders, she would’ve had some blissful years with Ma Kui and created lots of beautiful memories.

A lot of weaknesses which is hugely due to its very low budget. I’m just watching for Zhang Songwen. It’s not bad, I find myself chasing the plot but they couldn’t get better actors to play in it.

No, you are not. I find some cases towards the end are just not that interesting or engaging.
There aren’t real twists. I guessed the murderers easily except this current case I’m watching(the 1st case in the desert) so I’m a bit interested with this. I guess the tone all the actors use is also a factor for me. They’re all quite flat in their line delivery although they articulate well.

I thought I was tired the 1st time I fell asleep but it keeps happening. I’m not saying it’s a bad drama but I wanted to check if others experienced similar thing as I did. I’m a daily drama watcher since 2020, this never happened to me 😅. Like I said before, I love detective/crime dramas so this should be up my alley. I’m not even sure if it’s pacing or the bgm, or both. 🤔 maybe both.

Am I the only one who keeps falling asleep while watching this drama? It has never happened to me before no matter how slow-paced a drama is. Not sure what’s the problem coz I love detective/crime dramas & I seriously wanna love this Judge Dee drama but it lulls me to sleep 😅
