As a webtoon reader I can tell you that almost all adaptations are not it lol, it just kind of ruins the world in your mind. (Just as movies are to books.) Itaewon class was probably my favorite from this list, I’ve yet to watch Taxi Driver and Sweet Home….
I’m not completely opposed to polyamory and I appreciate the courage to introduce it through kdrama, but this… this ain’t it. No communication or honesty, and cheating is definitely still a NO.
I guess I'm the only one who have no clue who these people are. I never even heard of this drama until I came…
There’s obviously a bit of romance, but dr. romantic has more of a focus on medical drama and personal development stuff than the romance. I still don’t know if you’d like it, but I just wanted to put it out there.
Things I loved: Commentary on sk society, color schemes/visuals, overall vibe, characters, acting, the games
Things I didn’t love: Plot holes, VIP dudes (I mean I don’t doubt that horrible people like this exist, but its over-the-top unrealistic), the loss of momentum towards the end
Giving it an 8.8/10, I think it’s worth the hype even with its shortcomings
Y’all I’m not usually the type to watch a drama just because of the cast, but for Lee Jun Young I wouldn’t miss it for the world. He’s such a beautiful human being oh my lord I just adore him with all my heart 😭
I don’t know if I can explain this well but… while I liked watching it, and I can see why it’s loved by others, A Werewolf Boy felt more like like a drama (tv show) than a movie to me. And as weird as it sounds I like my movies to FEEL like a movie, ya know? The same goes for western films too. This had all the same melodramatic tactics that kdrama usually have. Which isn’t really a bad thing (I love melodramas!), it just makes it hard for me to say it was a ‘cinematic experience’. 7/10 stars.
Oh damn I didn’t expect so many people to leave negative reviews lol! I was entertained, I enjoyed it, for all its flaws it’s still one of my favorite dramas of 2022… I recommend giving it a shot, but maybe less so if you’re mostly in it for the romance.
Besides being a great actress, there’s just this certain charm about her that has me completely smitten lol… I appreciate this guide! She’s definitely one of my favorites out there :)
Not even close to being a masterpiece, but an enjoyable watch nonetheless. I’ve probably rewatched it 4 times lol… though I admit in the second half it does lose its grit.
Also D.P. is a webtoon? Didn’t know that.
